Amazed This Hasn't Been Done Already!

Post » Sat Sep 18, 2010 7:14 pm

I've been looking for ages now for a mod that adds staffs that can be used as walking aids to the game...so far I haven't found any! Does anyone know of one or would anyone be up for creating one? This would be a great addition for those of us who create nomad/pilgrim/hermit/etc characters.

Have you tried Yacoby's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=29101?

Ooh, cool idea!

Would this walking stick do anything other than look awesome?
Maybe a Fortify Speed enchantment?

I have done this with my staff resource. If memoary serves I have included a mesh in that pack to act like that - its used as a light.

How about a staff that adds Feather? Maybe a series of staffs that get progressively better?

My http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=7474 mod sports a number of staves: wooden, glass and daedric, they are set as shields as well as lights.

Unfortunately the meshes are broken - taxture path leads to C:\Program Files\Bethesdsa etc etc, instead of just Textures. If you have the game istalled elsewhere, game will just crash.

nifscope should be able to take care of that incorrect file path on the meshes .

Era Scarecrow's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Utilities.Detail&id=73 will do this for you. It's a command line utility but an absolute godsend.

Yep. I got it now. Must have been that problem when it's first loaded to PES, or else I caught it at a bad moment. Thanks.

just wondering if any of these add animation so that it looks like the player is relying on them as an aid rather than just being held?
