Yes! As you can see clearly from this video the civil war involves a rift between the nords who welcome their new Cliffracer overlords and the nords who fight them.

Man, you′ve opened my eyes! This is absolutely plausible! Soon we′ll be fighting dragons with our cliffracer armadas. :flamethrower:

I know it's off topic, but that's a great animated film; anyone who hasn't seen it, should. Especially ES fans/Skyrim followers.

And why is withdrawal becoming epidemic across Tamriel? Or is that a clue to the amount in use? ;)

I think we should elect http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1150396-amazing-theory/ as the most useless in 2010. Of all games - maybe in the decade!

You don't grasp the severity of my claims! ST. JIUB IS A DRAGON! St. Jiub used the guise of a dunmer to gain support of the local dunmer to help him drive out the cliffracers! He knew no mere dragon could stand against the legions of glorious cliffracers! WE MUST KILL ST. JIUB AND RETURN THE CLIFFRACERS TO THEIR LANDS! :toughninja:

Kill... Jiub?

people have called me mad before, so I know what it feels like to be accused as mad
but because of this thread, I now know what it is like to be on the other end

It might be prudent, my foresight and speculation is in my humble opinion, better than Nostrodamas'. I mean, I don't wanna toot my own horn, but I'm basically the coolest thing since peanut butter.

I always knew Jiub was a shady character. Why didn't he get off at Seyda Neen? I bet he was in on it the entire time. In fact, I bet that Jiub, just like the Nerevarine, was freed to become an agent of the Empire. You see, the Empire knew of its demise beforehand, so they wanted to bring the dragons back to weaken Skyrim for reclaiming, while at the same time enslaving the dragons. So Jiub gets rid of the cliff racers just in time for the dragons to come back. Then the Oblivion Crisis happens and... wait, what if the Empire was in on the Oblivion Crisis as well? I bet Uriel VII is off on some tropical island chilling with Hitler, JFK, MLK, Tupac, Lincoln, and Princess Diana.

Don't forget Anatasia and her family.

You know what, I think Dovahkiin is dead and you have to impersonate him by wearing a mustache to scare all the dragons away.

At the core of my theory, is an accusation. The person I am about to speak of is being accused of bringing the blightfull, evil dragons to Skyrim. The man I speak of, is of course, St. Jiub. Yes St. Jiub, the very same man that drove the cliffracers out of morrowind! Many of you remember cliffracers as evil monsters who would murder your unsuspecting low leveled characters, death from the sky, but I propose that cliffracers were a defense! A divine defense just like the dragon fire! look at this quote from UESP.

"whereas the dragons in Vvardenfell were overrun by the invading cliff racers."

Yes those beasts you all curse ran off these vicious wyrmms for OUR SAFETY! And the so called St. Jiub has driven them off. Now with no one to threaten them they are attcking everyone and everything! The player character I think will be HALF CLIFFRACER and answer to the cliffracer king, together the united cliffracer alliance will destroy the dragons and save the empire. :celebration:

Thoughts?

If thats true I'm not buying TESV. I'll also be staging a year long nvde nord hunger strike infront of the offices of Bethesda. If any one asks, a witch froze us and stole our clothes.

Dude. There have been like 5 threads that have said this theory so far. It is actullay quite commonly excepted as the background for the plot. :homestar:

So what your saying is dragons and St. Jiub are evil, and Cliff Racers are good, right?

So then, the cliff racers recently fled Vvardenfell (because of St. Jiub). Then shouldn't it be Vvardenfell that is in trouble from the dragons, not Skyrim, because their (Vvardenfell's) ancient protectors have fled? and then we'd have another game set in Vvardenfell, which wouldn't be so bad except that there has already been one set there.

Or maybe St. Jiub is good. Realising that the cliff racers were the one thing that could protect Skyrim from the dragons, he chased them away from Vvardenfell and into Skyrim, where the dragons have apparently fled to. The dragons then find their old enemy in the place where all they thought was opposing them was mere humans (and elves and 'others' but yer anyway).

And once again another or: St. Jiub drove the cliff racers out, they went to Skyrim and met their old enemy - the dragons. War broke out between the two. Who's good and who's evil though (from human perspective)? St. Jiub knew this and knew that there would be destruction on Skyrim from this, so he is evil. But how are the cliff racers good, they were DRIVEN out remember, they didn't want to go to Skyrim to fight the dragons, if they did, then Jiub would have been good? Innocent perhaps, but good? no.

Your theory as far as goodies and baddies cannot fit into the game been set in Skyrim. Either change who is good and bad, or it would have to be set in Morrowind again, and that doesn't make sense with the title been TES V: Skyrim now does it.

No see you don't understand. When the Cliff Racers were chased out the Dragons emerged from where they were hiding from the wrath of the fearsome cliff racers, knowing they were weakened and the evil scum, 'St.' Jiub was there to lead them, they immediately began a war on the nearest living things they could find. The Cliff Racers know what must be done though, so they are flying to Skyrim to battle their ancient enemies and find the Dovahkiin, or The Cliff Racer Born (But the dragons will try to convince him he is the dragon born to make sure he fights against the noble cliff racers). After the Cliff Racer Born finds out his true destiny he leads glorious war against the dragons.
