Republic Lands - November
News has just come out from Aetheria that Richard Reinhardt, a former member of the Western Brotherhood has died just now in Hyperion Medical Center. Doctors reported that Reinhardt struggled on to survive and was lamenting that the Western Brotherhood was wiped out existence from the war in the North. He argued the Republic should have helped a friend from elimination though the Republic was more focused on its war with the Legion. He was a staunch supporter of the Republic and Brotherhood merging together believing that the technological prowess of the Brotherhood and the Manufacturing capabilities of California would usher in a new world technological renaissance in the future and lead Humanity to a much more accelerated path.
Reinhardt planned a trip to try to meet with Premier Lockheart of the Brotherhood after many years of isolation from his family. Reinhardt who was in ill-condition insisted on going and by Air headed out to the Vegas Territorial Enclave. In Brotherhood territory, Reinhardt was ready to meet Lockheart but war erupted and immediately evacuated by Air landing in Seleneia Airport.
Reinhardt on 2261 left the Brotherhood of Steel remarking them from his book, the Lost Way as defilers of codex, and the true purpose of the Brotherhood. With several disillusioned comrades just like him created up a chapter up in the North known as the True Brotherhood. Reinhardt did have several differences such as allowing outsiders to join but also reintroducing technology beneficial to the wasteland but keeping dangerous technology outside from the reach of bad individuals. California Ranger squad, Eagle under command of John Hanlon around 61 would meet Reinhardt in the Sierra Nevada’s while doing scouting missions on the Brotherhood, encountering the True Brotherhood. Hanlon would speak with Reinhardt and look upon to his idea of Techno-Progressivism.
Though the True BOS was short lived when the originals attacked them on ’66 in there town, Seleneia wiping most of them out but several escaped, taking refuge in SoCal… They would contribute to the idea of Techno-Progressivism and the idea of the Brotherhood and the Republic to merge together. Though the idea never sprouted as the war between the Bear and Steel become not a war over technology but a war of pure mutual hatred. His honorable Hanlon…may he rest in peace argued for the Brotherhood and the Republic to settle its differences and merge together for a better future for the wastes. It has only been until now that politicians and professors of the Republic have been looking upon to this idea…
Yet with the Brotherhood gone, the dream of the Brotherhood and the Republic merging but the idea of Techno-Progressivism lives. On 2292, the Medical technology gained from Vegas was widely distributed throughout the NCR for the benfit of the people. This has raised the life expectancy of the NCR citizen.
Richard Reinhardt will be buried near his people’s home, Lost Hills. The Reinhardt Family will be holding a private funeral tomorrow afternoon. Richards Reinhardt’s last words were; To the Knights and Paladins that fell in our struggle for our existence up in the North, for how the Brotherhood changed from the years Maxson founded us on November 2077, you have fought well despite all circumstances. Time shall remember us… The people of California. The inhabitants of the North. The Eastern Sect and the Midwestern Sect. The father may die but his sons shall live… Rest in peace…
Recently right now coming from Descutes is that about hundred in numbering from the Brotherhood civilians and Soldiers have arrived in its capital of Madras. From a Paladin, after they crossed the Northern Independent Zone that separates Vancouver and the Syndicate, they arrived here on the NCR border but to be apprehended by California Guardsman. These Brotherhood refuges are seeking refuge in the NCR to begin…again…
NCR Soldiers start to pull out of the Legion lands after a long sweep and clean operation of Legion stragglers. With the Legion peoples, defecting to the NCR, Khans, or Madre, the Legion hardliners are small and are expected to be defeated shortly. We talked to Major General Cole Westin, commander of the 9th Armored Division and said The guy's and gals out here are jubilant with the Legion defeated. Not only that, fifty-percent of the soldiers fought in the Mojave Campaign. Cole Westin is expected back home for a hero's welcome.
That is all for tonight folks. This is Sierra Nevada Radio signing off with our last song for today, Maybe by the Ink Spots…
Maybe you'll think of me when you are all alone.
Maybe the one who is waiting for you.
Will prove untrue, then what will you do?
Maybe you'll sit and sigh, wishing that I were near.
Then maybe you'll ask me to come back again.
And maybe I'll say "Maybe".
Maybe you'll think of me when you are all alone.
Maybe the one who is waiting for you.
Will prove untrue, then what will I do?
Maybe you'll sit and sigh, wishing that I were near.
Then maybe you'll ask me to come back again.
And maybe I'll say "Maybe".
