President Hsu - New California Republic
President Hsu sat on his chair inside the Quail 1. Hsu was looking out of his window. Snow fell down from the skies as each touched upon Quail 1. It reminded him of Christmas with his cabinet in the Sierra Nevada’s, a tourist region with beautiful scenery. Yet as the snow settled upon the exterior of Quail 1, Hsu thought much of how much the Bear has accomplished…
On this year, the Slaughter of the Bull or referred in the Republic as the Second Cali- Legio War was a war much shorter than the First Cali – Legio conflict. The combined power of the Republic, Madre and the Khans led to the elimination of the Legion, an enemy that has plagued the surrounding nations for so long… The war gave combat experience to the NCR military. Grudges were resolved as soldier who fought in the Mojave were able to exact revenge against the Legion… The Shadows proved themselves in this conflict as effective operators of Unconventional Warfare. This war was also the Republic’s first true total war as artillery, tanks, and aircraft were used heavily.
When the Legion was announced eliminated on NCR radio, joy erupted all over the Republic. Celbraitons were held all over in major city such as Los Angeles, San Fran, Seleneia, Aradesh, with Californians yelling long live Republic. Hsu personally celebrated the victory against the Legion with buddies from the Mojave Campaign in Sierra Nevada’s, snowboarding.
Hsu did hear the acst committed by the Khans unto the Legion. It wasn’t surprisingly shocking to him and his administration as the Khans did harbor a great hatred against the Legion. Republic soldiers committed showed utmost brutality to Legionaries. The former Legion slaves have joined the Madre and began assimilating into new lives. As for the Republic, three new colonies have been created on the shores of West Mexico. Novaroma was founded by former members of the Legion, which is the only NCR territory to have full majority population speaking Latin. New Westin founded by the brother of Roger Westin the Second and Tonatiuh founded by Bajan settlers.
The plane landed and Hsu was treated to the cold North. The Californians were used to cold weather, usually in fall and winter when the rains heavily. Snow falling down is more common to Californians living in the Sierra Nevada, which Hsu was accustomed to. Hsu admired city despite how Vancouver did conquer the Brotherhood which was shocking with Vegas never announcing this to the Republic. Hsu had slight weariness of Vancouver and suggested by the Army, bolstered the Oregon region with California National Guardsman. Though Hsu was ready to negotiate with Vancouver as his weariness of the North expanding has died off. His anger against Vegas died off to but wished that they would have informed them off the attack. If had, Hsu in his mind might have brokered a peace deal. After all, Hsu was ready to reintroduce the West Coast Alliance. The proposal was simply at the wrong time. Yet in Hsu mind, he still had thought of the Brotherhood and Republic forming an alliance and even possibly combining in the future as he remembered a quote from Richard Reinhardt from ’71 before encountering Vegas…
The Republic immense population in post war standards and powerful manufacturing capabilities give it an edge as a powerhouse nation in the West Coast. The Brotherhood with advanced technology should combine with the Republic to form a better future for the wastes. If it were to happen, the Republic would be a technological power 2341… Yet it is disgraceful how the Brotherhood lost its goal of restoring Terra. The Brotherhood has no direction and is nothing more than Powered Armored Raiders.
Hsu still remembers that quote from Reinhardt on ’71 in SF. His idea Techno-Progressivism to allow fair and equal distribution of technology to the people but also regulating dangers technology has been a well-received idea by the Abbey, the Followers, and Aetheria’s progress. There is even a non-fictional story upon this idea being written by Reinhardt’s third son. The dream has died though....
Hsu with his accompaniment of Andrew Reinhardt, head of the Reinhardt Institute, a university but within its spheres of advisers also a government think tank, writing on foreign issues and technology issues. General Cole Westin of the 9th Armored Division during the Second Cali- Legio War all clad in a full general outfit with medals and awards. Lockheart today was busy on Project 93 and Dering felt like chilling in the Sierra Nevada’s.
Hsu, Reinhardt, and Westin entered in with an SFG-S operator announcing the three arrival.
“Announcing the President of the New California Republic President William Hsu, Andrew Reinhardt of the Reinhardt Institute and General Cole Westin, hero of Second Cali- Legio War.
They took their seats together.
