American Ninja Warrior!

So, who here is a fan of American Ninja Warrior? Tonight is the first of the city qualifiers, super stoked for it to start  Who are your favorites? For me, it's got to be Brent Steffensen, I've been following him since he first started going overseas to Japan to compete. Him, and Brian Arnold are by far my favorites, but I love watching anyone willing to give the course a try, it's really an awe-inspiring thing, especially when you see someone that no-one thinks has a shot, like a 50 year old grandpa, come in and just demolish the course!

Well, gotta jet, back to watching the pre-show! GO NINJA WARRIOR! WOOOOOOOOOOO!

Is it bad that I have never heard of this show? My geek card might need to be revoked now.

I watch it, though I much prefer Sasuke (unfortunately I don't get it anymore since my provider cut G4). What I like about Sasuke much more is that the participants are truly diverse. Whereas almost all American competitors who have a chance are athletes, stunt people, free-runners, do such things for a living or at least have an extensive background, so many of the Japanese participants are just like everyday people; fishermen, gas station attendants, shoe salesmen, etc.

Yeah, it was called Sasuke over in Japan.

Yeah, my provider cut out G4 as well >< Ticks me off, but what can ya do? The only other provider for satellite/cable doesn't have it either, and the one I"m with is cheaper.

You do make a good point, my favorite competitor from Sasuke was the Fisherman guy, Makoto Nagano. Loved him!

Still, American Ninja warrior is making strides towards being more diverse. At least over here, you have women competing, I can't ever recall seeing a woman participant on Sasuke.
