Ami-El: Anyone know sauces for this figure?

Dear Past Elder Scrolls Games Forum,

I need your help in finding the original source that mentions this figure known as Ami-El.

Here are two example entries on the UESP and TES Wiki, respectively:

None of these entries are sourced. Although it certainly sounds like Daggerfall-era lore to me, I have been unable to find its origin. The Daggerfall Chronicles have been suggested, but I have been unable to find anything within. I know there are quite a few of dedicated Daggerfall fans on here. Could you point me in the right direction as to where this information comes from?

Sincerely,

The Lore Forum.

I haven't turned anything up on the Imperial Library other than a question similar to yours. Both Daggerfall and Redguard are 3rd era however. I find the name to be proto-colovian as a few characters in the games of later eras are named Amiel (Sir Amiel - KOTN, and Amiel Richton - Redguard).

BTW I like my Ami-el on a toasted muffin with hollandaise sauce. :D
