No Ammo Crafting

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 5:58 am

I'm bummed there is no ammo crafting and no ammo variants in the game. FNV was much better in that way. I really liked you could add target specific damage boosts by crafting AP or HP ammo for your guns. The weapon modding is great in this game and I love that but there should have been ammo crafting along with it. The CK can't come soon enough.

Yeah I can't wait for a mod for this.

Aside from modding armour and weapons, you can also craft your own ammo. If you find a Syringer somewhere in the Commonwealth hold on to it, because its ammo is more unusual than mos?t. Use a chemistry station to craft such injectables as the Lock Joint Syringe, which may cause temporary paralysis, or the Mind Cloud Syringe, which tricks the injected into thinking you’ve disappeared. Next time you kill a bloatfly, make sure to loot its corpse for glands to make bloatfly larva, which when shot from your syringe can spawn another bloatfly; it’s the circle of life.

It's entirely possible that a future DLC or update patch could add in ammo crafting.

Look at Skyrim. At launch, you couldn't craft arrows, however, when Dawnguard was released, the ability to craft arrows at Blacksmith forges became available.

I don't think Bethesda would ignore the benefits ammo crafting would bring.

I think they relied on mods to the weapon itself replacing crafted ammo

Basically you can get Armor piercing poisoning and even "Medic" guns
