That looks awesome. The caves look very moist and humid.
Great textures! :)

Are these the same textures you had previewed in Oblivion makeover or are they different?

Gorgeous work Ampolx, I absolutely hated the vanilla cave textures, these look like a vast improvement. Thank you for all your amazing work!

I've noticed that it's a lot darker in the caves now that the walls don't have that orange glow to it.

I asked about the vanilla/original textures, not the retexture. ;)

Nice work. One question. I use Qarl's mods. Is this mod compatible? I'm not sure if Qarl's mod touches the caves. Thanks.

Noticing the same. They look fabulous when you can get some light on them, but otherwise they're awfully dark.

Was also wondering if it's intentional that all 12 textures included seem to be exactly the same and that the normal map for the stalactite one is missing.

They are meant to be dark. I may brighten them up a bit in a future release but for now, I like how they turned out. I guess the realism I intended was to make caves more...spooky where the torches become a very useful item in dungeon raids. Thats just how I roleplay though. If it continues to be a bother, i'll release brighter textures.

I meant for the textures to be the same on my end. The missing normal map is a goof on my part.

The darkness doesn't bother me. It's just a bit of a surprise when you walk in with a torch and now it's even harder to see down the tunnel.

Liked the darkness myself, but I don't use any other dungeon darkness mods either, so I'm sure some people will find it not as enjoyable. Very cool that you're considering doing an alternate/lighter version AmpolX. :foodndrink:

It's not a huge bother, just a shame that such nice textures are largely invisible most times because it's dark in the dungeons. Then again, that's probably because Real Lights takes out most of the actual light sources, leaving only torches and spells as an option. They really don't need a lot of brightening up, just enough to be able to see some of the detail and the wet look.

Real Lights also changes things with Caves and Dungeons?
