Hi, I have this quest asking me to speak to Golldir, who got killed in the tomb quest at the start of my game. However I didn't realise he was a companion and just let it go and moved on. Hours later I realise that the quest is still incomplete.

I went back to the tomb but nothing changes, he is lying dead, I brought him back from the dead for a bit, then he turned to dust lol

Is there anyway this can be patched?

The quest says "Protect Golldir - Optional" had failed.

I looted him and got all the items from the tomb.

The easiest way would have been to reload, but i'm way past that option.

Anyone else had this problem?

I don't think the quest is broken, if your companion died, then it's your fault for not helping him; I guess you would have to reload a saved game if you are still interested to do that quest

Hi, well at that point he was not my companion, I was just trying to loot the barrow. I thought that with it being optional it would not matter if he died.

Hopefully its just a glitch
