CL and being a slaver in F:NV

I know someone had just made a CL post, but I was literally about to enter this question:

What is being a Slaver going to be like in F:NV? If it's like FO2, then I would have hardcoe cheat to beat the game, be used to not having a crew (or at most 1 person), and be shut out of a vast majority of NPC dialogue.

On the surface, F:NV seems to be promising a Slaver with a real chance at preserving a good portion of NPC atmosphere, because the CL itself looks a hell of a lot more immersing than Metzger's slave guild of FO2. I assume the CL offers numerous quests, beyond just a few slaving wasteland missions. Does anyone think you can pick up a crew (2 or more NPCs) along the way while having a Slaver reputation?

To me the CL is the most obvious choice for the first time around, even if it proves the most difficult. One reason why I want to choose their side is that finishing the Anarchy ending seems the most logical to take advantage of CL quests (which will almost certainly have you walking around NCR and Strip territories blowing everything up.) Another reason is that, like many people chimed in with the old "F:NV Isn't Post-Apoc Enough" thing, I'd think that being around CL areas and CL NPCs would definitely keep that insane/wasteland vibe as strongly and consistently as the game has to offer.

Am I being too optimistic about the prospects of slaving in F:NV?

I think it will be easy enough to have access to more than one companion if you are aligned with Caesar's Legion; I would imagine the companions are based more upon Reputation, and not Karma, this time. So there's probably a couple companions who either have no feelings towards CL or support them.

I think you're overstating the difficulty of being a slaver in FO2. My first playthrough was as a slaver, and it makes the early parts much easier. The later parts were about the same.

Well to me, it was the early part that was easy enough, while the last half was the part where you could have really used some of the crew that you can't use now due to Slaver reputation. This is especially when clearing all the military bases, as well as random Enclave/Alien encounters in the waste.
