CC and Immunity

Post » Sun Feb 16, 2014 5:22 pm

I read that if someone breaks CC using stamina, the player is immune to CC for 8 seconds. Does this mean all CC or just the same type of CC they broke out of? Originally, I planned on using Rune Prison (disorient aka sleep) a lot in PvP, but if it will lead to someone being immune to knockback, stuns, immobilize, and snares for 8 seconds, then I might rethink my build.

I think it is to all cc. Helps prevent CC being the be all end all of pvp.

Fair enough, though it makes knockback a lot more valuable in PvP vs. other forms of CC. Knockback interrupts players, but as far as I could tell, there was no mechanic to "break" it. This might even mean that using other forms of CC should be avoided if it gives the enemy a way to gain immunity to all CC for 8 seconds.

Breaking out of CC via stamina burns up a lot of it, so if they're a stamina-dependent build or just happen to be very low on it for some reason then it will still hamper them a great deal.

I haven't seen that in any videos or statements.

I dont think (from what I have seen) that breaking out of CC wth stamina makes you immune.

I think in one of the videos a player used the stamna to break from one CC, but got landded by another just after it...so I don;t think this is what provides immunity.

Its probably one of the skills in one of the skill trees that provides a certain immunity to CC ( or all of them ^ ^).

I only know that after using the CC break, you have a whitish circle around your feet that moves with you for a few seconds. I'm assuming this is to represent you are immune to CC but I don't know how it works, PvP was a HUGE lag fest for me and couldn't tell what in the hell was going on (though I was able to see the logical structure of how it will work and still can't wait to play for real).

So ya, if it isn't working more than likely it is supposed to be working or else why put the icon around your feet?

Darn it, I wish there was a beta so I could test this right now :(. If possible, I want to play a CC-focused sorcerer rather than the standard pew pew one.

First of all, you need to have enough stamina to use it. As the stamina pool goes kaput really fast duo to the habilities/sneak/running/tumbling,I don't really think that it affects the caster crontrol much.
