EU and NA server choices

I'm not sure, during the beta whenever someone spoke in a non-English language, there was always someone saying "go to your native speaking channel" obviously not as friendly as that.

Or they could have just been fooling around.

I'm sure there were language based chat channels in the chat options in the last beta, little checkboxes of what you want included.

How about those damn New Zealanders? Lagging both servers! I think they shouldn't be allowed to play at all.

(joking for those who struggle with such concepts)

The problem is not with the checkboxes, the problem is that no one ever bothers to speak in the proper channel...

No-one is using the other language channels, at least not that I've noticed. They aren't enabled by default so I ticked the boxes to enable them, out of curiosity, and nothing appeared in them for the 15 to 20 hours I played in the last Beta. Everyone was using the general chat channel.

Just do as I do and /ignore players using languages that are foreign to you. It sorts the problem very nicely and harms no-one. Well, not me, anyway.

lol. Yeah atm there is no chat seperation for different language in EU servers from what i have seen. Add the trading system into the picture and i think everyone will be walking around with all chat channels turned off:(

Edit: Considering playing on NA servers as well since latency shouldnt be an issue since both servers are based in NA.

Indeed, but there is always a chance of a missed friendship opportunity, maybe he/she only did that one time, and some other time would be a good trade/grouping partner.

On a related note, does anyone know for sure (from the beta) if ignoring a player is a private action? I mean, does the ignored player see a "X has put you on ignore list" message, or he/she won't even know unless they try to talk to you?

Fairly certain a player will only know if you ignore them if they try directly speaking to you through whisper, it should tell them "Player X is ignoring you" or something like that.
