I want to vote for the first option because- yes- I would love to get my hands on the game, but every fiber of my being won't let me for a specific reason: I think if I ever met someone that actually talked like that I'd seriously consider having them admitted to a psych ward.

I already have it preordered, so I can wait.

Alpha? Nah.. have you ever played a true Alpha? Most BETAS include broken and missing features.

Another reason Bethesda is only demoing the 360 version.

If an alpha was available then yes this thread would be removed. However as this is a hypothetical, and it is dealing with playing the game early rather than discussing legal matters, it's fine to leave it open.

btw- this might get locked because it's talk of illegally obtaining the alpha build.

After reading about leaked version, I pre-ordered it same day

I may or may not form a quick mercenary band using a bunch of local vets who are also avid gamers, may or may not offer the band's services to Bethesda to deal with the leak, and may or may not end up committing any number of classified acts in the pursuit of any potentially-existing contract Bethesda may or may not sign. Of course, I cannot confirm or deny any of what I just said as being truth or lie.

Yeah, let them send a demo out now, but have the game rigged up to explode after you play for more than 20 minutes. As 11/11/11 comes around, the game will automagically unlock and let you play till your heart is content. Hypothetically speaking, would any of you try and play over the 20 minutes despite the possibility of dying? I believe this is an important discussion to have that could possibly save many lives and keep Bethesda out of legal trouble, hypothetically of course.

I don't even like demos for the sake that Alphas are seldom good indicators of final gameplay.

I'd rather make educated opinions on the information shared by Bethesda, and go from there. I want nothing to tarnish the first experience on release. No one wants something that anti-climactic.

Why would anyone want the crap build of the game> I can wait have my pre-order all set up so can wait plus a few add ons are coming out soon for a few games so have things to hold me over.

I would probably wait, but it would be an incremental decision. If I had to obtain and install it on my own PC, then the hassle of doing so would be enough to prevent me. I wouldn't bother seeking it out or fooling with it.

If I were to go over to a friend's house and was invited to check out a leaked build that was just sitting there ready and waiting for me ... er ... yeah, I'm weak. I'd be all over it. Couldn't help myself.

After 20 minutes of tweaking, the eyebrow would be looking good.
