I just got a Droid recently and am looking for the BEST rpg available. What should I check out?

I did a search for RPGs recently and found slim pickings. Android offerings are expanding fast but haven't caught up to the quality of iPhone apps in many cases. Certainly nothing I'd put on par with http://www.undercroft.com/, anyway.

Not that it terribly bothers me... Phone touchscreen games aren't the best platforms for RPGs anyway. Better for the arcade and puzzlers, I think.

If you like J(action)RPG's, http://us.gamevil.com/games.php?m=AndroidMarketDetail&gid=16 and http://us.gamevil.com/games.php?m=AndroidMarketDetail&gid=30 are probably my favorite mobile games, although I warn you now it can get a little grindy at times.

I played the iPhone version but I'm pretty sure it has a free version for both games on android as well if you're inclined to check it out :)

Cool, i'm going to check now. Is it a long RPG with different weapons and armor to equip? Dialogue and NPC interaction?

Well, like I said, its a JRPG really so its more accept tasks or not but you can affect the main story, you have plot points where you can choose what to do, it has lots of loot but as far as I remember it doesn't change the in-game appearance in the first game.

So not much NPC interaction but its a pretty long and fun game.

Also I just remembered that there's this first person RPG for the iPhone and I think it also has an android version, its everything you're looking for including tons of dialogue and an open world with lots of quests but I can't quite remember its name right now... I'll look around for a bit.

The game is called The Quest but I'm afraid it does not have an android version, its basically a really nice Elder Scrolls-esque open world RPG and its really a shame its not on Android.

Thanks! I just looked up a couple reviews for Zenonia. IGN gave it a 9 and Gamespot an 8.5. Both said it is the best mobile rpg. I just went to the Droid market and there was a version for $4.99, but they also had it for free, so I just downloaded it.
