» Tue Sep 18, 2012 10:58 pm Long ago, when the Brotherhood was first formed, a rogue squad branched off and eventually came across some sort of top-secret data that would have supposedly won the war for the U.S. But, as they were using a Hellion to transport the data they got shot down by an unknown power in the farthest reaches of North America. Now, word of this reached Alan, and he soon saw it prudent to send a force of elite ANGEL pilots and units to acquire this data, by any means necessary. The specialized group will have to brave the journey northward, sneak through hostile territory, and finally face and defeat the unknown power to acquire the data for Lord Alan. You are a member of that special group. You must us your ANGELs to find and destroy this mysterious power, and acquire the data. By any means necessary.
First, a description of the ANGELs, so you all know exactly what they are. I HIGHLY recommend reading this first.

That's the basic model I want to use. Feel free to customize armor, weapons, color and whatnot. Pictures are nice references though for a variation of armor should you chose so!
Right, so on to the cockpit. As you can see from the image, the big projecting thing out of the back is the cockpit. Basically, at the very back of that, there are blast doors that open up. Inside the blast doors, is a mechanical, retracting seat the pilot sits in and from then on basically they press a button, the doors seal, and the seat retracts back into the chest-area. Inside the cockpit, is the console for controlling the ANGEL. The control system is basically two jet-type control sticks for various movement, 4 large screens that connect for a panoramic view (one for frontal view, one for left and right sides of the unit respectively, and one for the upward view) And then the main computer system, which is used for various things such as communication, unit status, maps, etc.

That is known as a factsphere. This give real-time battle data to the user, providing maximum combat effectiveness. Second is the targeting system, which uses actual brain waves of the user to augment the aim. Basically you think, you aim, and your gonna hit. This system has been able to shoot down aircraft before. Quite effective.
Now, one last thing. Well a couple of things. First, the unit moves a top speed of 80mph. It does not at this time have the ability for sustained flight (no matter what variation you choose to make, it cannot fly in this RP). The head unit acts as the main camera, so if it gets damaged, you won't be as combat effective, although you will still have sub-cameras, so you won't be completely useless. Also, due to the control system and various other things, the ANGELs are even more agile than a human. That mean's you can do all kinds of crazy flips and spins and turns and whatnot.
I'm leaving weapons and stuff up to you all. But the standard weapon system is an anti armor knife, Ragnarok rifle (Blue pulse-laser assault rifle, capable of leaving craters in the ground) and a Ragnarok Cannon, which is basically a big, streamlined Tesla Cannon which also leaves craters, except much bigger. I'm think for this RP though we won't use those. So I encourage you to come up with your own weapons.

We will start in the City of Steel (Brotherhood Capital.) The city is huge and grand, with architecture mirroring the Medieval fortress cities, but with a twist of the Brotherhood's highly advanced society. In the center of the city stands a large steel Fortress, the Fortress of the Archlord. It is here the group will meet, and from here they will embark on their quest.
A couple of rules.:
1. I am GM, so my word is law. You must approve the ANGEL with me beforehand. (Don't worry, I'm pretty easy going. They are supposed to be OP, just keep that in mind. This will not be a cake walk though.)
2. All ANGELs and pilots MUST be Brotherhood. No pilots from NCR or something like that. Only the BoS has ANGELs.
3. 2 week posting limit. In other words, if you do not post for 2 weeks without giving me notice, your character will meet a gruesome death at the hands of our foes. Or by the team itself.
4. Keep the general shape of the ANGEL unit I specified. It's ok to have an armor variation, but it must have the Landspinner system (the "foot" an that small wheel. It pops down when in use.) and the cockpit system at the back. Those are non-negotiable. All units must be between 17ft-20ft. No higher or shorter.
Character Sheet time! For this RP, you will need two sheets, one for your pilot, one for your ANGEL (Note, Magus only has to have one, because he is the Alaskan guide, and since we have to pass through their territory, an Alaskan will be going with us. He will be the only one who is not BoS.)

Personality: Xane is usually a calm man, but when he gets the blood lust of battle, he goes into a psychotic rage, murdering everyone, innocent or not, who is not one of his allies. He is loyal to the death of Lord Alan and his family, and will not tolerate any disrespect of them. Xane is a friendly person generally, and loves to talk to others, although bares an extreme prejudice towards anyone from Ronto, due to the stunt they pulled when he first encountered them.
Appearance (Note, all are elite soldiers, so yes, they all have to be be physically fit): Xane is very well trained and fit. He is of medium height, but is somewhat on the slender side, though not by much. His hair is thin, and the color is a unique gray, more silver, that falls to the bottom of his ears loosely. Some speculate this was due to biological testing.
Weapons: Carries a pulse pistol and a combat knife on him at all times. Has a laser based assault rifle stored in the ANGEL as backup.

From then on, he swore to become a soldier, and to fight to the death for it's leaders. Xane's parents were killed when the BoS had to leave for Washington, so Xane was orphaned. The BoS soon made their trek across the states to their Midwestern Brothers, and Xane found a home with the Head Scribe, Hadron. Though at first Hadron saw Xane as nothing more than a test subject, he soon came to care for the boy. A few years later, Xane was named by Hadron to be the test pilot of the first ANGEL, the Reaper. It was then that he met Lord Alan, and Alan took it upon himself to be a father figure to the boy. Xane quickly grew to care for Alan an his family, an soon swore an oath to them, to protect them with his life. Alan treated him as a son, and Xane responded in turn with 110% effort, pouring his heart and soul into keeping Alan and his family safe. Since then, Xane has honed his skills to an art, and has been named the Brotherhood's top pilot. He continues to serve the royal family of the Brotherhood.

Magus the Red: Name: Alexander Winter, Commander-in-Chief of the alaskan military forces, lord castellan of alaska.
Age:somewhere around 53, however a celluar de-aging experiment worked and his body actually has the cells of a 21 year old, however his appearance is still the same.
Personality:Warm ,a fatherly figure, however cross him and you'll find a completely different man, the man who ordered the extermination of an enemy civilian camp to make the enemy soldiers reveal their positions, this is a man who want's to get the job done, no matter the cost.
Appearance: black hair with tinges of grey, piercing blue eyes, he stands at 6ft3inches, rather muscular, though you would be if you'd been born in alaska where gene experiments are pretty common among the soldiers, he has a normal nose.
Apparel: His 9ft power armour, armed with in built gatling lasers and HECATE, his special weapon, HECATE was a poseidon energy experiment, data has not been found on it's purpose it is believed to have been black-ops, seen as it has graviton repulsers(Think Iron man), magnetons, capable of lifting metal objects up to the weight of a B-29 for around 10 minutes and finally its seemingly innocent electric thingamabob, the man himself wears a military uniform, usually his naval blue jacket with C.I.C Stripes.

Bio: born on the coldest night on record in the history of alaskan temperature, he had the life most alaskans had, born in a bunker, raised as a soldier, his entire life was focused on the principles of Duty, Discipline and Decisiveness, the three D's, at the age of 16 he was thrown into the cossack war, his first view of the surfarce world rather than blinding him, didn't really have any effect, rising through the ranks to that of Colonel, he quickly established a coup against the democracy and drew the people from the bunkers to the surface, implementing the Naval Dominance strategy, beating back thge cossacks and establishing the iron line, when the conventions started, he was at a meeting with the other representatives when the largest cossack incursion ever prepared to cross the line, his response was simple, throwing morality to the wind he ordered the tactical nuclear destruction of the cossacks, while thousands died, mainly cossack civillians, the threat was neutralised.
