Really...

I am a PS3 user... the network is down. As far as the solo campaign goes this game is honestly crap. I would kill for a refund. Do not miss understand me I've been a casual gamer since Nintendo' played everything from Mario, Golden Eye, Powerstone, etc... I am rip [censored]... tough economy and I spent my hard earned cash on a game that feels all in all plain flawed. Either the developers are delusional or I am just nuts but the entire Brink "immersive first-person shooter" svcks. I've clocked in several hours trying to enjoy the game' played every class... svcks. A game should be able to stand alone minus the whole mp aspect and brink falls way flat. I've downloaded cheaper and better games from the WII store for several dollars compared to this S#@!!t. Unfinished, rushed, frustrating, a jumble of crap. I am so pissed off. I may actually try and reseal this crap and return it and if that does not work I may go throw the disc in a blender alongside some old version of dance dance revolution and some moldy old meat and feed it to some poor wild animal... thus producing what could be called dance dance crap... oh Brink! I want my money back.

I agree with you on some things. But like I stated before the game came out......other games have promised game changing (Homefront) other games said they were the next step to a great story (ODST) some said they would give you all that you wanted and more (Operation Flash Point: Dragon Rising)


All in all......the old usual games that most feel like they should be add-on map packs shine in comparison to this game.

and no I am not a COD fan boy or passionate about ripping games up. I am just pissed off. Major let down of a game.

I could of just waited for Infamous 2 or Battle field 3 or Rage. I ignored all the mixed reviews kept my pre order ' the games just gonna be a trade in...

You don't understand the game yet. All the people complaining don't see the big picture of the game. Your mad about the single player, well the bots are designed to let you do the objectives yourself.

Instead of whining about a game that's trying half a dozen BRAND NEW things let the devs get community feedback and fine-tune the game.

I am just another gamer that was looking for something cool to play , I hardly use psn except for netflix stuff... I at least thought Brink would have a solid game story foundation.

I "get the game" I mean maybe playing it since it came out does not amount to me having an opinion... I am trying to enjoy it and can only think of the bots being filled in with real people... I've been playing for awhile doing character stuff, messing around with weapons' build types and so on, it all feels stale.

The whining is not unjustified. The single player was supposed to be a revolution in gaming. The bots should be smart enough to know that if you are NOT classed to do the onjective after X amount of time that they need to sack up and try to be escorted.....oh and by escorted I mean actually go WITH you to the objective, not run around like a crackhead looking for a fix it just can't find. The game is unpolished. They choose not to public beta it, not us. They choose to release it with horrible textures. They choose to let it lag on network. It's a game that is NOT what it was promoted as.



You were right to do so. I bought the hype. I also enjoy the game to an extent. Cause I am bored with everything else.






Oh, and sorry.....your game is now ONLY worth $21 at Gamestop....or $23 if you are a card member. LOL

No, that's a cop-out. Taking the objective yourself is the most tedious thing you can possibly do in this game and I have more faith in Splash Damage than to think them so stupid that they'd purposefully build the AI to leave it all to us.

First I'll show every in game cut scene and try to connect them into a story then I'll toss the disc

Can you name 5 new things in brink OTHER than SMART? Really?

(note, I'm not saying I'm upset that they aren't bringing more new stuff to the table than SMART - I'm just saying that what they've brought to the table is fairly underwhelming.)

And it could have easily been great (sensible premise, good setting, potentially round characters) if there had actually been a campaign here (rather than just a disconnected series of multiplayer matches.)

So youre mad that a game that is 99.09 percent multiplayer in spirit, which you made known you have not played online. Which I will admit, the zombie map w/Buffy and Danny trejo looks kind of cool. But I dont have the drone software installed in my thinking muscle so I cant play the zombie[Oh the irony] crap for more 35 seconds without falling asleep. I am sure you know PSN was down. The whole thing really has really whipped the drones into a fury into every gaming and news site comment section on the net. I want play COD nao! or kill sony!!! I didnt even know the thing was down for the first week. I hear from people who are the loop, good news is coming late Friday about the network, and some other new stuff. Word on the street the new PSN will be better than x-box live in many ways. But you didn't hear that from me and thats subject to change like everything else in life. They are doing a lot more to PSN, then securing new servers and updating firewalls.

People want the leave the arc...people don't want to leave the arc. People don't want to let the other people escape the arc? but wait... there are what if story lines... Personally get me off the arc... there is not one female to be had.

Well, there is no love for disliking the game here, but I feel a little cheated myself.

The story was incredibly short. Adding both together does not solve this issue. The AI is close to worthless. Gamers Global - 9.0 "The surprisingly smart AI is probably the best in the shooter genre.", not quite sure about that. Singleplayer with bots and I should not see an AFK bot as I have 5 times.
Multiplayer doesn't really exist. Its singleplayer with real players. I have found on most maps I can get more xp siting in spawn buffing than going for the objective. 90% of team mates actively do pretty much that. SMG dmg is way too much in comparison to AR or heavy weapons.
Body type confuses me for the most part. Cannot find a place as lightweight I cant get to as a heavy, just requires different routes. Medium and lightweight are pretty much the same.

Basically I feel like its half the singleplayer any other game offers, and half the multiplayer any other game offers. No CTF, no KOTH, no TDM. Tactics and routes are always the same. As a PC player I cant wait for tweaks. As it stands I feel it will go the way of MOH.

I am just mad that the game as a whole in my opinion svcks. No reason to get all pissy at me. When I buy a game a want a fun escape like anyone else sheesh. Sixty bucks is sixty bucks and when I wrack Brink up to other titles I just think WTF just happend?

it's multiplayer with cinematics. lightweight can get places FASTER than heavier classes. all can get everywhere, that's good and unsuprising. Except of course a few jumps you have to find as lightweight that only they can perform. Find them.

Also, what two things were you adding together? you only mentioned a "short story".

No no no, you're just not getting it. Use your brain! The bots are SO ADVANCED that they simulate the behaviors of real online players such as getting up for a beer mid-match.

I am not pissed about PSN! That totally beside the point of me being mad... pretend there was no online gaming (yea there is) Brink would be crap Perfect Dark for N64 is better then brink and I could probably buy the N64 and the game for cheaper then Brink or my now 20$ gamestop.
