Ok, if you kill a crap load of bears, to make it realistic, if you kill all of the bears then their wont be anymore bears? And that goes with all animals? Also should animals be able to breed to prevent their kind from being wiped out? Also what do you think of animals hibernating? Like in winter, all the bears will be in their caves asleep and all of the squirrels will be in their trees and such. Tell me what you guys think about this. Just picture it in your mind...............
Well, you're the farmer here so answer this: How long does breeding up a new generation of animals take? Now along with that, consider that many players complete the game and are done with that character in less than an in-game-calendar year. The longest-running character I ever managed, back in Morrowind, has about 650 in-game days and he was something of a freak. So at about one generation per year, how much effort would it be worthwhile to divert from other possible features to add something few players would play long enough to see, and fewer still would even notice it anyway?
Short version: Yeah, I'll pass on the animal breeding thank you very much.
