I don't need a companion for my Nord barbarian as he will be a one-man wolf pack. As for my hunter character I'd like a dog companion that looks similar to a husky. One can hope for a husky in a province such as Skyrim.

Also, I was thinking about the wording of his response. "Yes you can have an animal companion". Maybe I'm just thinking too much but it sounds a lot like you can only have one. Perhaps a dog. He could have said "Yes, you can have animals as companions". :sweat:

a dog, fine. I hope it does not make the game to easy. I remember massing a group of folllowers and being unstoppable. got old and thats why i stopped playing Fo3

That was probably because you were affected by the invincible Dogmeat glitch. If you got Dogmeat after installing Broken Steel he was essentially unstoppable, even taking on behemoths single-handedly. The same applied to Fawkes and RL-3

Of course, a dog would be fine, but if it is possible, my characters would like to raise a wolf, and I have stated this several times on this forum.

However, I don't want any animal companion that is, what I consider, "too exotic."

I'd like some more variety in animal companions than just dogs. It is a fantasy world, after all. Probably bear or boar would be most appropriate to the setting, but perhaps a Durzog?

Chickens cows sheep bees have been confirmed and it's Likly you can get a farm with them on as a player home, they are kind of pets.

Horses and dogs confirmed for animal companions.
Does any one treat there horse with any grace, I feel few games portray horses as nothing but bicycles(Somme scabby old thing you found wedged in a hedge that you trash rinse repeat, till it brakes then you leave it and move on to your next bicycle). If you could get it wait, pat it, let it drink at river and feed it treats(weightless carrots for extra speed) then it may seem more alive.

Not hugely interested in animal companions. In most games they just sort of get in the way. I like big spells and big weapons. That usually isn't a good combo with small animals... Unless of course you're purposely aiming for them. Then it's okay.

An Eagle of Falcon would be awesome. Scouting enemies and giving a larger exploring range on the map. It deosn't even need to participate in combat. Works well with the nature on Skyirm since and their big mountains.
