I tweeted a little earlier to Pete Hines if animal companions will be in game (similar to FO3), and he has confirmed yes!

On topic, having a companion sounds pretty good to me. Will remind me a lot of upgraded version of fable game if I choose to have a dog. haha.

a dog, fine. I hope it does not make the game to easy. I remember massing a group of folllowers and being unstoppable. got old and thats why i stopped playing Fo3

eh...........you do realize you can dismiss your companions dont you? seriously you stopped because of that issue. LOL

as for companions i want dogmeat. he svcked in FO3 cause he kept charging into groups of enemies and dying all the time even with the mods i was using.

If I remembered correctly you could only have one companion along with dog meat travel with you, so unless you were using mods or exploits, I have no idea what you mean by "massing a group of followers"
