Animal Interaction

How would you handle animals in future games if there was an option to be friendly to them without just using the Animal Friend perk?

Are we talking about talking animals again? Okay so was kinda funny to help the brain, but it was far too campy for fallout.

Do you mean Point Lookout? And I don't mean NPC's specifically, just fauna as a whole.

Like quest related stuff, like maybe helping a Deathclaw strapped to a crucifix or against a building (if that's even possible) and if you set it free, there could be a 50-50 chance that it'll try to kill you or it'll run off and you could have a lesser chance for the species to attack you, or there could be new parts in the game that could be factions for animals and Deathclaws might like you more if you help them, or you can help them kill an enemy they're fighting, and if you help them survive, same thing. Or maybe even just having certain dialogue choices that let you give them stuff if you have a positive alignment with them.

Nope, Fallout 2. "The Brain" is a molerat plotting to take over the world. He's a possible questgiver for the Optimise Gecko Powerplant quest.

There's also a talking plant, talking deathclaw, and a radscorpian that can't talk but plays a mean game of chess.

I would really like to be able to ride a horse in the game. That would be pretty sweet. I have a theoretical degree in Equestrianism. :P

I do believe Horses are among the laundry list of animals that died in the Great War. You would have to look that up though.

Ohhh c'mon, there's gotta be some kind of mutation of horses, like radponys or something!

Special unarmed sneak attack: Brahmin Tipping! :celebration:

New Vegas the Bighorners are marked as hostile but they let you be if you stay far enough away. Would be good to have that with some other animals as well. I don't want anything like training them.

http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Horse Nope, sorry. They all died. I checked this wiki and the Fallout Bible. Both say no horsies. Though I will admit that NCR Cavalrymen does sound neat.

There are others that are territorial like Bighorners, Giant Ants won't attack if you get too close to them, or Bark Scorpians. And you don't have to train them, you could give them a peace offering related to a live grenade or something.

Bear in mind that the status of horses isn't completely canon - until its clearly stated in the game there are no horses period.

Only under two conditions:

1. Talking Deathclaws

2. Robo-critters
