Animaniac

I've recently delved into the world of Morrowind animation (via Blender), and as you can imagine, I need help in my journey. To that end, I will be using this thread in order to acquire that help. Any and all questions I have related to animation will be posted here.

Now, I've had some success with creating new animations that can be applied to NPCs, using Antares' tutorial. However, at this time, I'm most interested in learning how to animate creatures. Most specifically, a goal of mine is to re-do the animations for the Flame Atronach. I feel the vanilla ones aren't very good, and since it's a biped, and looks human enough in shape, it should be a good place to start for me.

Antares' tut covers creatures, but in terms of modding the vanilla ones, nothing is mentioned. What's the best way to go about this? Is there a specific tutorial that's recommended?

That one doesn't seem to cover the modification of existing Morrowind creatures. For example, I need to know how to properly import the Flame Atronach into Blender, in a non-animated form, so that I can apply my animations to it.

I've tried doing that, I get a Python scripting error.

Also, how do I avoid this http://s1045.photobucket.com/albums/b455/MrStodern/?action=view¤t=galbedirinchair.jpg?

I'm using the one you included as well. When you import it, what settings do you use?
