I have managed to create a Crysis 2 nano-suit showroom wallpaper where the 3 nanosuits rotate around like usual take a look at it here:

The size is at 1920x1200 any screen works but will look a touch stretched if not a 16:10 aspect ratio.

Yeah, it looked to me it was running at 0.5FPS. But still, good job!

That's because it's essentially a slideshow
(technical details: It's a Vista/Windows 7 gadget that changes wallpaper every second, and it's actually made out of many separate images)

@OP an alternative would have been that you record the nanosuit showroom thing as a video file, save it as a WMV and use it with Dreamscene for a "real" animated desktop
