GOOD GOD HE'S STILL WORKING ON THIS! :o

ajeffreys - He has one or two resolutions already made, and they work fine ingame for the most part except for people using ENBSeries. My computer is too crappy to handle ENBSeries anyway, so I'd gladly accept one no matter how bug-prone it may become.

Really, all the resolution ports are pretty much done. I just would like someone who has gotten an animated menu before to test it so they can confirm it works.

I've already PMed Timeslip regarding the issues with ENBSeries, I hope he gets back to me soon. :)

I play on a 1680x1020 as well. I would really like to see this one. Never thought I'd see a main menu mod like that.

I can try it, I'm on laptop 1280x800 and have the Wizards Island trailer as my animated main menu.

I used your older one (and still have it if you need it for whatever reason). I run Morrowind at 1280x1024. If you want I could also test the regular 1280x960, see if the game dislikes movie hooks when it's not at the default aspect ratio.

Well everybody, guess what! I recently decided to get rid of ENB so I could try out some of the MGE shaders around here, and when I started up my Morrowind, I was shocked to see that my animated menu was working!

The problem is, due to massive resolutions, which are rather troublesome to scale down, (in flash, you can change the resolution, but you have to scale every object appropriately yourself) the video is all choppy and looks bad when I try to convert it, and flash's internal AVI exporter can't do it, since motion tweens modifying size get all shakey.

Hopefully I'll find a way to convert these though, and when I do, I'll package 'em up for release!

What happens if you just use what you have on lower resolution? From my experiance any video file scales to the menu. I honestly don't think it's such a big deal (performance wise).

No no, that's not what I meant, ingame it plays fine if the video is a lower resolution, it's just that the SWF to AVI converter I'm using often makes the animations all choppy, sometimes it doesn't, but then I can't really do any processor/GPU heavy things while it's going because it will get all choppy if I do, the thing takes a mighty long time to convert, probably around 30-50 minutes to convert one of the map loops, yet I'm kinda asking for it with the huge resolutions.

*sigh*
Converting these is going to take a while, they take forever to convert and often something goes wrong and I have to try again, also, after the conversions I gotta resize and reconvert the files in Vdub, because their huge resolutions will not work well ingame.

Anyways, while I'm waiting, and messing around, I wanted to share http://s5.tinypic.com/nwgax4.jpg, I made it for my animated menu a while ago but it didn't fit well with it at all, so I don't really have a purpose for it, I'll probably just end up sticking it into the menu resource pack after.

Great news here :). I?m sure you will solve the still existing problems.

They aren't really problems as much as slowdowns, converting the files takes forever, because they are huge resolutions. When I set the converter to resize the resolutions, it often comes out in terrible quality, and when I don't set it to resize, the converter takes around an hour and sometimes strange problems like http://i27.tinypic.com/1183n2u.jpg occur.

The intros can be easily converted though, it's just that I have to convert them to binks to work, and binks are bad quality (since I have to resize the binks to 640x480). I should ask Timeslip if he has the time to update the texture hooking functions to hook textures/video to bink files, then we could have a high res menu intro and a high res bethesda logo.

A project to remaster the introductions and Bethesda logo? Never heard of this before. Would be nice though, can't stand how the Underking's quotation gets all scrunched up on my monitor.

I must be the only one who prefers the reprise over the original Morrowind theme. My only complaint with the reprise is the whistling sound that comes in every 1.5 seconds or so in the beginning.

Well, I've already "remastered" the Bethesda logo, but it's in binks, and they're low res (I had no choice, high res binks don't work in Morrowind). http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=931111.

I can't distribute Nerevar Rising reprise, and the menu won't come with music anyways, I'm not "going" with any song, that's the user's choice.

No, your definitely not, check out http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VPEEp5R_pOo&feature=channel_page, there's tons of people like you.

About the menu, I've converted the 16:10 files and am now using them myself, I'm glad to say I've finally achieved my goal, to have a working animated menu in Morrowind, and I've started a revolution! There's tons of people who've been making them since I started the first thread, I started a mini collection of videos here.

There is one itch, one thing in my goal incomplete, it's not shared, but I assure you guys It'll be up soon enough, the files will be of a hefty size though, just a warning.

File size is luckily no real problem for me, so I?m ready to download whatever you will upload ;)

are you going to change the border around the animation? it looks to much like Oblivion, It would look cool with a more dunmer looking style.

I mean this part.
