Post » Mon Oct 05, 2009 6:15 pm

are you going to change the border around the animation? it looks to much like Oblivion, It would look cool with a more dunmer looking style.

I mean this part.

Oh i was hoping, like Oblivion, but still like Morrowind. I just think it would look very very cool with some Daedric Symbols on it.

Like http://s5.tinypic.com/nwgax4.jpg? The Daedric symbols on the logo are "ASV" repediately, meaning "Almelexia, Sotha Sil, Vivec", like on the original Morrowind menu.

You know, after I'm done this menu, I might just want to make some more menus with different themes to them, maybe a remake of the original Morrowind style menu...

I've uploaded an ingame video of my menu on Youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6qSyAYKHsE

It's all fully functional, as I've said, I just gotta convert the rest of the files then release. :)

Wonderful! However, the Morrowind logo pans in a bit slowly, don't you think? Unless that's a separate file and a replacer for the menu fade in sequence.

Read the description! Doesn't anybody? Forgive my impatience, but I've already answered that question, no need for me again.

there are no daedric symbols on that image. I just think mabye it should look a bit more dunmer or Ashlander, that really sums up morrowind.

There are daedric runes ingraved all over the text, all "ASV". I'd know because I made it.

Look closely at the texture of the letters, there are the daedric symbols. I like the video you uploaded SWG, looks very nice.

I see em now, they blend in. Those symbols would look great in place of the leaves that are ont he oblivion border. but mabye you should make the letters represent some real Daedra Prince's.

Why? The Tribunal is much more important to the main quest than the Daedric Princes.

Also, Starwarsguy, I think you did use the Daedric "O" when you meant to use "V." You can see it http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r246/Goldenchicken1/Daedra/abeceda.gif. The V doesn't have the central dot.

It is a V, that's what it was in the font anyways...

And Cabius, I'm not making any more changes to the menu, this thread is no longer for that.

Possibly another menu entirely in the future, but I've gone though enough trouble to get this working, so don't expect anything soon. However, I think most of the other people who made menus (Rhymer, vstatek, skaepszodraz) will release theirs after I release mine.

Apologies.

I wasn't sure the true extent to which Fraps as actually lagging the video and how much was the actual framerate. Will state again though, amazing work and far better than I could've ever done. Looking forward to its release. I'm curious, what map(s) did you base this movie off of? Specifically mainland Morrowind, of which I know of very few maps that cover it in full.

What is happening? The files take a long time to convert to AVI's, sometimes around half an hour, or even 40 minutes, the worst part is, I can't do anything else on my computer during this time or the recording is prone to screw up. Seeing as converting these files takes a long time and requires me to watch over the conversion process, there aren't many times when this time is available to me.

That's why it's taking so long, all the actual content stuff is ready for a version 1 release, but the files still need to be converted to AVI's, and once that's done, I'll have a series of large packages to upload onto the PES server...

Well, that's good news. We have our mod ready at least, and you will (I hope) find the time necessary sooner or later. So, nothing to worry about :) We can wait a little for such an awesome mod.

Could you not ask people to help, say send the files out to a whole bunch of people, ask them to convert them for you and send them back...it would make the process a whole lot faster :)

I have no problem doing it myself, except time. And it's not like I'm not doing anything else, did you see my Oblivion style Morrowind map thread?
