Animation Mod List

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:38 pm

Says Beta 2. Not that it matters because IMO the working animations are way over the top, beyond exaggerated, and I can never seen myself actually playing with them.

Oshiel intended them to always be over the top. It was supposed to be anime-ish and I think for that reason it's perfect =)

Oh yeah I know that. For what it does it's mostly really good. I like to think of it as a proof-of-concept, not worth using but a good example of what can be done if you know what you're doing.

Some people like using them. I wonder though if they get the same crazy crossbow animations I do?

Ccome to think of it, the first time I tried this mod all my character's animations were screwy. From walking to simply standing there, he was bent backwards at a really painful angle. It went away the 2nd time I installed it, when I wanted to record how weird it looked and noticed the crossbow animation was still screwy but the rest was fixed.

Do poseable models fit in this thread? I use Kira's new models from wiwiland - not sure I can link to it from here - kira has 9 poses for mannikins which are unique and while they can't be used for the player - or at least I don't know that would happen they can be used in conversation with a NPC to get them to do the pose

No. Nо poseable models there.
You can describe them, make some pics, if it is possible and upload the files - then I'll add it.

Here's the link to Wiwiland and the section http://morromods.wiwiland.net/spip.php?rubrique14 - you'll need to scroll down to find Nouveaux mannequins - I can't do a direct link to it here due to the models posing au natural - there are 9 poseable animations - you might have to do some translation work to get it to work correctly in your own game

Hello,

If you're interested, this is the list of animation mods I released so far.

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2505
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2604
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=3346
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=4964

http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=2496 - released by Qarl
This last one, appears to be all or most of the animations I sent Qarl while he was making The Underground. Some are experimental and may not work as expected. I told him everything I sent him was a modding resource when he released his project. So NPC Animations appears to be the unused sequences.

I may release more, such as a left-handed base anim, more idle and dancing sequences. I'm currently working on mods for Oblivion (Battlehorn Expanded) and for Fallout 3.

Best regards,
RX31

I may release more

That would be awesome!

Could you also share you trick(s) (I am not able to crack that): how are you blocking collision in paired (hugging/kissing animations) and secondary animations (head rotation in the direction of the nearest PC/NPC/creature)?

Many thanks, Grandmaster!

:)

I'm so glad you compiled this list. There is one missing, I'm trying to find the title right now and will edit then, but it add "sit" points to MW like in OB.
