This is a modified set of animation files, based on the first Beta released some time ago.
Changes to the basic stances and attacks for all weapons except the bow and arrow.
Added storm, torch, melee stances, and a few other idles.
Attempted to correct some of the issues with limbs going through the body while moving.

Others

  • Dianne's Tavern Time Balmora
by Dianne

This mod adds music, drinkers, dancers and drunks to the Balmora Taverns. I hope this has made going to Haalu Taverns far more interesting. And mostly, I hope you enjoy it. This is mostly just a atmosphere mod, and I plan on doing the same to most if not all the vanilla taverns. This mod has not been extensively tested, use at your own risk. The cleaned version is here now. Here is a link to a short vid I made so you have a good look.

  • Animated Gondoliers
by Arcimaestro Antares

This mod adds 2 Animated Gondoliers in Vivec. The Gondoliers do nothing but going furth and back. They are not living, simply scenic.

  • Animated Morrowind
by Arcimaestro Antares

This mod adds some new animated Npcs to the world, and gives animations to some Npcs of the original game.

Old Npcs
- Lette, the redguard woman who suffers the Swamp Fever, a bit North of Tel Mora
- Granny Varis, the dunmer woman who cleans the Temple, in Mournhold, Temple Reception

New Npcs:
- a drummer in the Ahemmusa Camp
- a smith in Sadrith Mora, Wolverine Hall
- an alchemist in Ald Ruhn, Guild of Mages
- a clerk in the Census and Excise Office
- 3 dreamers in Falasmaryon Stronghold
- an Orc in Balmora, Council Club
- a beggar in Balmora, next to the Temple
- a fisherman in Khuul
- a bard in Mournhold, Great Bazaar, and another bard in Mournhold, the Winged Guar
- 2 readers in Vivec, LIbreary of Vivec

all these new Npcs will appear randomly (40-50%) only during some hours of the day. People in tavern will appear at evening/night, while a clerk will appear during the morning/afternoon.

  • NPC Animation Explorer
by Fliggerty

This is a small plugin that allows you to see every animation that can be applied to NPCs with PlayGroup and LoopGroup commands and learn about their various quirks (the main of which is different behaviour in plain Morrowind and the game with Bloodmoon installed). Travel a bit north from Seyda Neen and find four NPCs and the "console" of buttons representing all possible animation groups as they are listed in CS. An "amulet" besides those buttons allows quick "idle" command, resetting animations to default (well, mostly).

  • Sit Down in Morrowind
by RuneThoughts

It alows you to sit in tavern and inns.

Edit: Nevermind

Thanks for compiling the list! Great to have it referenced all in one place. It might also be helpful to link to Axel's thread, with all of the information he has compiled about working with animations in Morrowind.

So... how does one install these? Qarl's supposedly has an exe installer, but the comments keep whining about not being able to install it.

The New Casting Animations one looks awesome, and it says it has instructors inside. So.. how do I get Qarl's installed?

Also I hope Liztail is planning on adding those spell anims to the AnimKit.(crosses fingers)

If you don't mind a little leg work, you can use the command line tool split_kf.exe included with LizTail's AnimKit to separate out all the animation files from thuggqwerty's new casting animations and build your own replacer.

According to thuggqwerty's readme he only changed the on-self and target casting animations, so the files involved would be:
SpellCast; Self.kf
SpellCast; Target.kf

You could also include the following files, just in case they were modified as well:
IdleSpell;.kf
SpellCast; Equip.kf
SpellCast; Touch.kf
SpellCast; Unequip.kf
SpellTurnLeft;.kf
SpellTurnRight;.kf

These files should go into a 'male' folder located under a 'thuggqwerty_spell' folder, which in turn should be located under '...Data Files\Animation'.
You then need to place copies of AnimMod.xml and icon.png from the 'base_anim' folder into the 'thuggqwerty_spell' folder.
AnimMod.xml can be edited using any text editor to reflect the correct info.

Please refer to the AnimKit documentation for further instructions. :read:

Yeah, it's compatible, in fact I suggest you use them together until I make my own 1st. person animations.

Kalian, can you link to my thread instead please? :)
I'll be updating the dl links constantly, and people can ask questions about the animations there, so it'll be easier that way.

Thanks for the list. :goodjob:

I did, just to see what it was like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03QOwJBS4dU.

Some of these other animations though look amazing! I'm weary about trying some of the modder's resource animations (any way to preview them before downloading?) since I would want to use the Animkit to create my own animations with them. For instance, one of my mods's NPCs (Laura Craft) comes with a dance animation I'd want to replace with one of these, and I'd have to assign it to the proper Idle with the proper timing etc. which means I'd have to know which Idle it uses, etc. I'm not sure I'm up to the task. It's not as simple as adding an animation file to an NPC in the CS, which I've already done; I gave all guards the dancinggirl animation as a test :) (Try it! It's real easy to do) I have to edit existing animations with multiple Idles. Bleh.

Animated Morrowind looks great too.

EDIT: Animated Morrowind might not be compatible with Better Bodies? :( I read that there's clipping issues.

Not true.
They work perfectly fine together.

Any clipping you have will be minor, just like every other BB mod ever made.

Is that video using Beta 1, or Beta 2? I've seen copies of both floating around the internet.

Says Beta 2. Not that it matters because IMO the working animations are way over the top, beyond exaggerated, and I can never seen myself actually playing with them.
