Animations during combat

Hi!

Not sure if this has been already a topic - maybe in another thread.

IMO the combat animations in EOS (Beta) are really ugly.

If you strike another char with an axe it seems there's not real a physical impact. It seems as if the axe just swings over the character and does not really hit it.

Is this a technical restriction due to the fact that this is an mmorpg?

I am currently playing Lord of the Rings Online - and if I compare combat animations there with combat animation in EOS - there's a big difference. Hitting an enemy at LOTRO really feels like hitting the enemy.

Will there be improvement until release? Can anyone explain technical background regarding the current implementation?

Thanx

Johnathan

It's been mentioned quite a lot already, pretty sure they'll work on this.

easy way to tell if your combat is good... is to record it....if you can make a good almost movie like combat sence based on chr movement ..swings , jumps ect...you have got it right...80% of the battle is allowing the player to fight with style. something you would enjoying watching on youtube.
