animations...

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 1:01 pm

I want to use one of the special idle animations, to create my own. I don't want to change it or modify it, I'm gonna leave it exactly the way it is. The problem is I cant find the .kf file under the meshes directory. In fact I cant find it anywhere. Worried about this I unistalled and reinstalled oblivion only to find out I didint have a Meshes directory anymore(apparently it was only used by my mods). After giving some thought to the problem I found a file named Oblivon-meshes.bsa, Im 100% sure this is where all the animations are located, however I cant open it, or uncompress it. (tried 7zip, and winrar)

How can I create an animation if I cant specify where the animation file is. Is there a way to access this meshes.bsa file from within the CS??

Note: I have a standard boxed edition of oblivion, patched to latest version

.BSA packages require a .BSA Unpacker, they can not be unpacked with those ordinary softwares. http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/BSA_Unpacker

I suggest using the BSA unpacker in FOMM if you have Fallout 3 (or if it'll work without having Fallout 3 installed, not sure if it will). The BSA unpacker in that program has more features than the one in OBMM and the standalone version. When you're looking for a specific file by name, there's a search box you can use; as you type, it pares down the list of files to only what contains what's in the box.
