Animcam command - Panrotate cam while walk

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 8:54 pm

Using the console you can turn on (toggle) the animation camera.

Command - type 'animcam' or 'set animcam to 1' (cant remember which one but ive verified it works ingame)

This provides the ability to rotate the camera around your character while walking/ fighting etc.

In oblivion / fallout we had the ability to toggle this command using the middle mouse (holding down to enable and releasing to go back to default camera).

I think it should be possible to do this in skyrim however Im a bit hazy on setting up keybindngs. (tried and failed)

Is someone who has already got custom keybindings to work able to work on this and upload ?

I really miss being able to see the front of my character while walking in 3rd person mode

Bumping this.

Anyone got an idea how to bind the animcam command to the middle mouse or even a key ? (like it was in oblivion and fallout)

Being able to walk around while rotating the camera would make my life complete (well almost!)

+im keen on seeing my mage blast some fire :flamethrower: from the front instead of always seeing the back of her head.

Want to see this too, but I read somewhere that you cant just bind stuff to keys
otherwise I would have binded tm and tfc to a few keys but im no expert at this stuff

Did find this:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Ini_Settings

it states:

Remap Mouse Buttons

For remapping the mouse buttons through normal game UI see Technical Support entry. The bindings in the INI are 8-digit hex codes XXXXYYZZ where XXXX is the keyboard button, YY is the mouse button, and ZZ is the joystick button.

Mouse Code = Button
FF = No mouse button
00 = Left-click
01 = Right-click
02 = Middle-click (aka center or scroll-button)
03 = Fourth mouse button
04 = Fifth mouse button

Change action key mappings accordingly.

For Example, possible mouse mappings are:

Block=003802FF (MMB)
Cast=002E01FF (RMB)
Toggle POV=0013FFFF (removes this from MMB)
Change View=0013FFFF (removes this from MMB)

Still clueless of what to do with it tho :P

Thanks. This mean that I just might be able to reimplement my Enable Free Look mod from Oblivion.

I feel your pain. :( If no solution exists, I hope a mod will be made that fixes this. Do you think there should be a separate [REQ] thread made if no-one can provide a keybind?

I don't understand why they messed up with a perfect working feature ... instead of focusing on what people lament of they tend to change and mess up what we do not want changed....
