PC is using Steam, so anti-cheat will be handled with VAC. As for console, I don't know. Cheating is much less of a problem for consoles, since they are a much more controlled medium.

Really all depends on SD and Bethesda. Because cheating is handled very poorly in CoD, but in Halo, its very punishing, if your caught cheating. So really im pretty sure it depends on the developers/producers, as far as consoles go i know.

One of my friends ran a private MMORPG server, and when he caught someone cheating, he would send the person an "update packet" that would nuke their client, most people never realized it, so they couldn't get on even if they used a proxy to change their IP address.

On steam, they have the option of nukeing peoples accounts, along with Brink's CD key; so cheaters have to buy the game again if they want to get back on.

the two consoles are able to ban people by account as well, I believe, but I don't know much about XBL or PSN.

On PC, the best anti-cheat is a legit admin.

Admin's are the best since the influx of undetectable hacks, but if its like Bad Company 2 where you are unable to spec players point of view, its a problem.
Pretty sure since SD is of hardcoe shooter background they'll have a first person view option and integrated match recording (let's hope).

If you mean something like theater mode, than you're wrong. You probably will be able to record on PC as well as spectating assuming that they kept it like in their other games.

You guys are right on the admin decisions. This can make or break (abuse) the game.

he means spectating and watching them play from their perspective, seeing if you could react to things the same way they do.

Yeah except too many admins use "if they could react the same way" as a decision maker, never taking into account there could be people better than them :/
But yes, thanks for "getting me" :P

Oh, that's what I meant by specatator mode.

Cheaters are pretty obvious most of the time, except wallhackers. These guys can be pretty damn good at covering up.

that is one reason I love bungie they don't put up with cheaters. But ya I am worried about modded controllers how will they handle that?

Xbox also has the dreaded "Console Ban". Your consoles service number is 'blocked' from accessing online services. There are also account bans and individual game bans (Halo for instance).

I assume console bans are reserved for modded systems?

Modded systems mostly. But they have been given out for other things also.

Well there is a clan known as F@G (Federation of A-hole Gamers). Basically, there was one admin by the name of DJ Keemstar. He never did any modding, but he caused alot of [censored] with everyone. Stole, lied, etc. and well, his account, his Xbox, and his IP address have all been banned from XBL.

You would think a group like that would create some kind of double negative and make something good out of themselves. I guess not :)

Still it happens more than you would think.

Can you not already use a USB mouse and keyboard for Xbox?

Oh and wow. That would be fun as hell to play with.

EDIT: I want one...

No, you cannot. You can use a keyboard for typing messages though.
