Okay, there is a few things that stuck out in http://www.falloutnow.de/forum/index.php?action=gallery;sa=view;id=1568

1. That is an awsome deathclaw. Do you think it will be a different breed? Alpha? Matriach?

2. This location seems cool. Do you like it? What do you think it is? Posideon Energy? Make up a backstory if you want.

3. There is an invisible dude in the corner. Chinese stealth suit or Stealt-Boy? Would you like to see a type of stealt suit return?

I'm pretty sure the invisible dude is you, but still, it's amazing you even noticed him.

It said there will be Legendary Deathclaws. I wonder if that is one of them. Also, it looks like it might be outside of a mind or something, with that equipment. And that isn't a stealth suit, the profile shows distinct shoulder pads, and I hope that there are no stealth suits in the game. If there is, I suppose I will just not use it.

Wow, props for seeing the guy with the Stealth Boy. :tops:

Here's the bit from David Hodgson's diary where he discussed deathclaws (and where the screen came from)

At the top of the “crap your pants in fear” chart are the Alpha Male, Female, and Legendary Deathclaws — taller, bigger, and sharper than their east-coast brethren.

If they brink back the stealth suit, it needs to be balanced.

Maybe like a reusable stealth boy, it lasts a certain amount of time and then it needs time to recharge before it can be used again.
Or, perhaps it drives you insane and has debilitating effects on your mind. Wearing it too long decreases your int and chr, and then finally all your other stats. It can bring you to 0 in all stats eventually. It takes a while for the effects to wear off if you've screwed yourself that way.

I don't think the devs want us to be able to have as much fun as the stealth armor allows.
At best we might get something like TF2's upgraded Spy stealth that drains while you're moving but lets you stay cloaked while perfectly still and eats energy weapon ammo.

I know! Too bad the companions are confirmed. Does anybody else think these DCs are huge?

So say we got a weapon called "hand of death" which instakilled anything but robots.
That would not be broken then?
That would not be too powerful?
Including something too powerful in a game, even a single player game, can break the game's balance.
That is what the Hei Guei did.

On my latest playthrough of FO2 Goris
Spoiler
died before he could exact revenge for the death of the deathclaws in V13.
Served as an unintentional shield from some Enclave troopers. I haven't gotten my fill of awesome deathclaw companions, so hopefully we might get a pet in later games.

But it didn't provide complete stealth. It was a little ridiculous, but you could still get caught and it had relatively crappy DR. Besides, it's pretty easy for anyone to just not use it. I never felt that it was particularly useful and used Stealthboys whenever I needed to sneak past someone (like when I wanted the Kneecapper and Ol' Painless but didn't feel like killing an NPC). I liked Dave and didn't want to kill half of Girdershade.

CSA was only that effective if you also had at least 60 sneak and silent running, which if you went for both means you were making your intent at playing a stealth character obvious and shouldn't [censored] complain about the [censored] game giving you what you [censored] paid for you [censored] [censored].

O_o
Don't swear at me.

Now I know that it was meant for stealth characters, but this one gave a stealth character a free pass to do almost anything.
I could get noticed by a deathclaw 10 meters away, crouch, walk away a little bit and then I was completely gone from it.
Even for a stealth oriented character it made the game ridiculously easy.

kaber5150 Again, we shouldn't have to gimp ourselves because the devs created an item too powerful.
I didn't use it once I realized how powerful it was, but I wish it weren't so powerful because I actually liked it and wanted to use it but couldn't because of it's ridiculous stealth field.

No one forced you to put it on. No one forced you to remain in sneak at all times. No one forced you to use silenced or melee/unarmed and never break cover. There was nothing wrong with it but I hope you're happy because it's gone and it's never [censored] coming back to haunt your nightmares.

The Stealth Suit was overpowered with or without the Silent Running perk. Silent Running just meant you didnt have to walk while crouched to remain undetected. The Stealth Suit basically removed line of sight from the requirements for a successful sneak attempt. Also saying it wasnt good without a decent Sneak skill is a moot point when considering the masses of skill points you got in Fallout 3.

Balance is an important thing that all games need even if they are single player. It shouldnt be the players job to pretend things arnt in the game (stealth suit, power armor, VATS and so on) to keep the game a challenge.

Why are you so aggressive?

Anyway, as I said, I didn't use it.
I wanted to.
I really did.
But it was too powerful.
So I had to gimp myself in order to have some balance in the game.
The player should not have to do this.

I love the stealth suit and I have never experienced a time where by simply crouching I escaped. I have always needed to break line of sight and than still wait a while for it to go the caution and than back to hidden.

And like someone said, in order for it to really be effective you have to have the stats and perk to back it up. It, by itself, is not overpowered.

Stealth boys now, not only increase your sneak by 100, but they are also cloaking. You wanna talk about overpowered, talk about them. they make someone with a sneak of 0 just as effective as the guy that put points into sneak and uses the suit.

The suit is only good for single sneak attacks. If you attack more than one person at a time they will find you. The suit has crappy DR and isn't that great.

I personally find it easier and quicker to go in gun a-blazing than taking single shots and waiting to go back to hidden so that I can take one more shot.

Edit: And on second thought, some of the gun like Vengeance and the Fat-Man were obscenely powerful. You never hear people demanding their removal from the game.
