Are there going to be any major similarities to the Bloodmoon expansion for Morrowind? In what manner has it influenced Skyrim?

I've been waiting for this moment! Waiting so much that I've already compiled a list of questions on my desktop, muahhaha! ;)
First I just want to tell you that I've been waiting for this game to come for a long, long time. The TES-series is the best RPG-series in the whole world.
In Sweden (home of the Nords!) where I live, there's lots of hype for it. Lots of it. But now, time for the questions I've prepared!

... and the fire is ready and released... :flamethrower:


1. Why do you want to force all platforms to look equal?

2. Will the graphics be improved before 11/11/11? If so, on all platforms or just on the PC?

3. Are we going to be able to climb in Skyrim? This question goes for ladders and such, but also mountains (like this... but with a TES-theme of course: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cx2t5IYK91w&feature=player_detailpage#t=52s).

4. Will there be polearms, spears, throwing weapons, crossbows, or any other kind of weapons that weren't in Oblivion?

5. Are there any new guilds in Skyrim? If so, name one of the new ones please!

6. Will there be "invisible walls" that surround the ends of the game world in Skyrim?

7. When will you start working on DLCs and expansions and such for Skyrim? Do you have any plans to release big new landscapes for us to explore and such? Do you plan to release something similar to Shivering Isles, Tribunal, Bloodmoon?

8. Why wasn't the world size made bigger than Oblivion's?

9. Will there be quest markers or compass icons in Skyrim as it was in Oblivion? If the answer is yes, will they be togglable by a gameplay setting, so that those who don't like them can disable them?

10. I understand that mounts (horses) are a maybe for the release, but how is the development looking at this moment?

11. Do we have footprints in Skyrim?

12. Will there be any improvements for the underwaters in Skyrim? Any chance for us to see sea monsters or such in deep depths? :)

13. Will we walk "in snow" (as in, wade through snow; snow has a depth) or walk "on snow" (snow is just a thin layer that you always walk above)?

14. Are dungeons also seperated as interior cells, or is it just houses and buildings that are seperate cells from exterior cells?

15. Are there any courts in Skyrim, where you are able to defend yourself if accused of a crime?

16. Is there a "hardcoe mode" (optional or non-optional; the need to eat/drink/sleep, etc...) in Skyrim?

17. Will we be able to see our feet/body in first person view?

18. Is there destructible environment in Skyrim? For instance, can buildings or trees be destroyed when dragons crash into them? Or can trees actually be cut down when you're a lumberjacker?

19. How are jobs and such handled by Dovahkiin (the player)? Will things like wood-cutting, smithing, etc... happen in real-time with actual animations which you can control like you can control your weapon?

20. The pine trees look great in Skyrim, but so far, if I'm correct, we haven't been shown that many different kinds of pine trees. My question is, will be a greater variety of different kinds of pine trees in Skyrim in each specific region? Or is there a greater variety already, just that we haven't seen it yet?

21. Will be some secret and hidden items/artifacts in Skyrim that are not related to any quests. Just ancient, forgotten artifacts that are either well-defended or well-hidden, but non-quest related?

22. This is the best RPG in the world. Thanks for making this! Skyrim will dawn in 2011 with fire! GOTY already! :flamethrower:

How is the inventory going to function in Skyrim? Before, your strength stat governed how much material you would be able to haul around. With the reduction of attributes in Skyrim what governs your carrying load? Will inventories be a set size for all classes? Or will be have more mobile inventory options like satchels on horses? ALSO, houses give me any details on houses in Skyrim!

Can you join ALL factions in skyrim? (not like oblivion where you can join the fighters guild but not black wood)

Will it be like Oblivion where you can join all joineble factions. (EX. A mage in the fighters guild)

Will thier be more content then oblivion? (not just ruins, enemies but like things to do like gambling ect.)

When you said DX11 users will see "increased performance", did you mean just from raw power from using a higher end GPU, or were you talking about the implementation of features such as multi-threaded resource handling that allows games to better take advantage of multi-core machines?

  • You said initailly combining and mix matching Shouts was possible, but "confusing" can we still enable it through the CS?
  • Last we heard you guys were working on Spell Combinations, hows that going so far?
  • If we can spell Combine can we take that a step further and have on the Fly Spell creation? not that you can just plop down and make any spell anywhere but within reason, like a real mage were spell making takes study and practice.
  • Will Skyrim change the outcome lore wise in future TES games?
  • Are there other hazards players have to worry about -other- than being beset on a creature or dying by a sword?
  • What is with dual wielding staffs? lol you know that will be a meme unfortunately right?
  • Will the players take part in the Civil war? if so what are our options? picking a side? infiltrating both and pititng them against each other?/peace(independant of the story of course peace if you want to deal with Dragons) personal gain?

If (I won't take "We might not add mounts" as an answer so therfor IF) you manage to include mounts will we have more than just horses? Like goats? or Mammoths? Or cliffracers?

Will Helseth Hlaalu return in Skyrim?
What is "Spears in the traditional spear sense? Will there be other polearms instead? If so which?

Seeing as Skyrim is bordering up to Morrowind - which is not doing quite well, I am led to believe - will we see some kind of presence from the Dunmer culture? And nah, I don't mean like in a single town (Cheydinhal and all that), but more like... will we see some survivor Telvanni wizards or something trying to run an operation? (potentially able to join them?)

Hey just wanted to say, cantwait for 11/11 gonna be awesome!!

My questions are :
1. If we can wear clothes under our armour (like others have asked) can we still see it???

2. Can we dye our clothes on this game??? If so do we get a colour wheel to make our own or can we get dyes from a shop like Fable???

3. Do you have a social status??? (If your rich will people call you Lord and if your poor do you not recieve a title, if your a warrior or a mage will people name you accordingly.)

4. Last question, if you reach the top of a Guild and get to run it do people treat you like you own it??? (Guards in Oblivion around the mages guild always treat you like you are brand new to the guild)

What will govern aspects previously governed by attributes that would not fit in a skills perk tree or the big 3 (health, magic and stamina) such as strength, running speed, jumping height, encumberment limit, magicka regeneration rate, etc.?

Seeing as the 'hardcoe Mode' question has been asked already, if it is in, what can we expect to see? Will we take damage from frost an Blizzards if out in the cold too long? Will going to certain places, and how long you travel for effect thirst or how soon you have to sleep? Will camping be present? With hardcoe mode, if you need to keep warm, sleep, or cook you could set up a campfire and a tent. In short, if hardcoe mode is in, will it be more in depth than Fallout:NV was?

How are you guys going to handle mountainous terrain? I feel like in Oblivion, mountains weren't as accessible because if you just ran at them eventually a slope would get to steep and you would run in place or fall. This lead to a variety of techniques to climb mountains, like jumping while running forwards toward the slope, or running in place as you moved sideways until the slope became less of an obstacle (my friends called it "bouldering"). What methods will be used to deal with mountains in Skyrim, since the game will have a lot of mountainous regions?

1. Will there be a better journal and inventory this time?
Something more like Morrowind, where you could customize your inventory windows
and search the journal for keywords and phrases/ sort quests by factions, etc.

2. Can we buy/sell stuff in a massive way like Morrowind or is it one item per transaction like OB?

Good question, to which I'd like to add will there be climbing perks or mountaineer equipment, allowing you to traverse steeper slopes?
