Will there be any special rain effects, like surfaces getting wet, splashes on the ground, or rain not passing through solid objects anymore?

Would you consider porting the game for different operating systems on PC? I think a Linux port would sell enough to justify the cost of porting.

i figured but you never know, Beth could completely make alchemy different, which was kinda my question but i can see where that would make sense

Yeah, I'm also interested in how alchemy will work now. I have no idea how much they've changed it, really, I could be totally wrong, who knows... :)

Sorry for three relatively complex questions, but hey - these are pretty much all I want to know:

(1) Can I misskill myself? That is, is it *realistically* possible that by choosing the wrong skills to raise and perks to unlock, I find myself becoming weaker and weaker against the leveling enemies (rather than just not becoming stronger and stronger)?

(2) With athletics and acrobatics gone, will fleeing be a tactic as it used to be in Morrowind (as opposed to Oblivion, where pretty much everything worth fleeing from was faster than me)? Will I be able to flee from dragons if too many happen to come down on me at the same time?

(3) Will Radiant Story protect quests from being destroyed by random mishaps (like a dragon killing a quest-relevant NPC), are they set essential, or is it up to the player to save/load at the right times?

Hello, Team Bethesda, and thanks for a great game series!

My question: In Fallout 3, there is a slow-motion animation of gory death for opponents killed with a critical hit in VATS. While I don't find the gore objectionable per-se, I do find the jump in and out of slow-motion to be disruptive to the flow of combat for me. Thus, I always wanted to be able to opt out of the "heroic kill" animation. Will there be a "heroic kill" type animation like this in Skyrim, and if so, will I be able to switch it off as a game option to make the combat flow more realtime?

Again, thanks for a great series of games. I eagerly await what comes next!

Will all characters move the same speed and jump the same height due to the removal of speed, acrobatics and athletics?

Are all perks combat oriented or are there other types of perks to affect things like movement speed or encumbrance?

Yeah, how are stats like encumbrance and movement speed going to be handled now? Perhaps improving Health increases encumbrance, and Stamina increases speed?

Will the great hero of ESV come to rule Skyrim with an iron fist? Or will he/she/it wander off into the great unknown to be only referred to in ES history as DRAGONBORN! If the hero shall not be King of Skyrim or Emperor of Tamriel, Will he/she/it be able to rule a part of Skyrim or some big or small fiefdom? Seeing as how the Nerevarine was robbed of his/her/it's chance to rule Morrowind and how the Champion of Cyrodiil was robbed of a seat on the Elder Council, bereft of the title of Count of Kvatch, and passed over for ducal control of Colovia, it seems only fair that the Dragonborn shall at least rule some small part of Skyrim if not be King of Skyrim or Emperor of Tamriel.

Will there be boats in the new game? Will we be able to actually sail or will there be blackouts like in Oblivion when we were on boats?
If sailing IS an element of the game to what extent will it be used?
Thanks and good luck on the game :)

Since Morrowind, every TES game has had a major central landmark around which the rest of the world was built. In Morrowind, it was Red Mountain, and in Oblivion it was White Gold Tower. Can we expect High Hrothgar to fulfill this role in Skyrim?

What I really liked about Morrowind and Oblivion was just roaming the world and collecting plants and other ingredients for Alchemy. Will that still be possible in Skyrim?

Another thing I liked was actually a mod from someone for Morrowind where they had a fletching kit to make arrows? Will it be possible to create your own custom weapons just like Fallout for instance?

Something I thought was really good in Morrowind Bloodmoon, was where a village was being built along several quests. Don't remember all the details, but that way it could also be cool that instead of just buying a house in a city / village, you can sorta build your own, so a step further than Fallout where you only buy different sections of the interior. By collecting certain "ingredients" you could keep building on your own house. It will prolly not be in Skyrim, but who knows maybe a next Elderscrolls.

Personal Request: I enjoy realism quite a bit so I'm hoping there will be sheaths for every sword, mace, hammer, axe, and dagger. No weapons that magically stick to my waist/back please. :)

We know Todd and the team want both the PC and console version to look similar. How would you response to the concern of the PC community that Skyrim is been throttled/under-clocked to suit the aging console hardware? I note the DirectX11 situation as a example of consoles having a negative affect on the PC version.

1. Will weather and temperature affect character performance? Can a poorly dressed character die in freezing regions of Skyrim?

2. Will people be able to have their own organizations and be able to choose whether its out in the open or kept in a secret underground base that is hidden behind a bookcase or something in the character's house?

3. What happens if a character is attacked and brings their attacker to the home of a NPC they know, will the NPC fight with them or protect their family?

4. What happens if a whole town of NPCs is destroyed, will they suddenly respawn and return as if nothing happened?

To go with this, are guards all the same NPC who was duplicated hundreds of times over and respawns faster than the spawns from hell in diablo when you kill them?

I sure hope not. There comes a point when there should be no more gaurds or only one or two when you've killed them all. Whos going to want to take on gaurd duty when the gaurd keeps disappearing?

I just thought of a few more

how will argonians be physically? I liked the bestial body structure in morrowind & was kinda put off with the more humanoid bodies in oblivion. But I liked the different color options in oblivion, it was very fun to mess around with the skin options to see all of the variations I could get in character creation. So pretty much Im just curious on how you guys are doing argonians

the antagonist, Alduin, will we actually kill him in one-on-one combat or will we end up doing something like oblivion where we escort some guy to a location & he takes care of everything from there?

are dragons the only things that attack towns or can they be attacked by bandits, werewolves, daedra, goblins or anything like that?

also, are there going to be any major political figures that we can assassinate during the game like for a dark brotherhood quest?

btw, is the dark brotherhood in skyrim or will we be able to join some other assassin guild/cult/society/etc.

Hi, this might have already been asked and perhaps even answered but i wonder if you are able to be a vampire and if yes will there be diffrent vampire guilds/factions? Other than that i wonder IF you are able to be a vampire, are you going to get like an option to spread the curse (same thing goes with lycanthropy if it exists)

My second question is whether you will be able to extract information (meaning sort of threatening or perhaps even torture) out of a NPC and perhaps even learn skills and abilities by doing so.

I also wonder if you are going to be able to join a necromancer group/faction and if yes will you be able to raise dead NPC and make them to your bidding for like a short period of time.

I also wonder if there are going to be diffrent types of poisoned food (the poisoned apple in Oblivion) and maybe even poisoned drinks like wine and mead? Will you be able to put a deadly poison on any food or drink by yourself?

Can you become a guard if you wish and perhaps get certain luxuries by doing so, be like corrupt or maybe someone people can come to for help and stand for justice etc?

Can you become a noble or something similar and take taxes and regelate laws and stuff? If yes will you be able to use your own sigil or whatever?

Will there be like elections for mayor and other small post in diffrent cities and will you be able to manipulate the candidates or perhaps be one yourself? If you can be one yourself, will there be like restrictions like a clean criminal record or perhaps a noble status (if you can be one that is).

Will your character be able to use mind control, like a spell that is constantly active and can be deactivated if you wish, a spell that doesn't drain mana but like decrease your max mana until you deactivate it.

Will you be able to do some sort of ritual that enables you to enter other peoples dreams and scare them/make them happier or more at calm? What i mean is that when you do the ritual it's like a one time thing (using like an object or something similar that belongs to the person whose dream you want to enter) unless you do the ritual again.

Is there going to be like infiltration of hostile factions etc? What I mean is does it matter which clothes you are wearing or will everybody recognize you no matter what clothing? Are you going to get an option to design your own clothes meaning choosing colours and will you be able to put like diffrent marks and symbols on the clothes you own? Can you perhaps even create your own brand with like some people that make and sell your clothes and all you need to do is giving them simple designs (im not talking about making your clothes from scratch, i mean you tell your workers like what colour, if it's going to have special symbols or marks and other than that they look just like any other clothes)?

I'm sorry if anyone find my questions annoying/disturbing/offending/silly but please answer all the questions you guys at Bethesda feel comfortable answering. Also sorry if you think it's to many questions
