I am annoy. You can't marry Khajiit!?

Post » Tue Dec 06, 2011 3:24 pm

Why make it so there isn't one single marriagable khajiit in the entire game?
I know there aren't many khajiit in Skyrim, it's not exactly a welcoming climate for them... but still, if you make a khajiit, it only makes sense to marry a khajiit, right?

TBH it was half the reason I bought this game. I can't express how very disappointed I am. It's a fun game, very pretty... but honestly. I was so looking forward to having hot lisbian khajiit marriage.

Not even with the console code. It's a shame!

I wish I was exaggerating. Then maybe I could just go back to the game and forget about this travesty. But after Ahnassi, you get addicted, man

And a mod isn't official. I wanted to be an OFFICIAL lisbian khajiit.

But I agree, they should have included some marryable kitties.

A Bosmer can't marry a Bosmer either.

A poor oversight on Bethesda's part.

I made a cute little Khajiit and was upset when I found this out as well. But oh well. I have my eye on Vilkas or Farkas

The marriage feature is just...there. In 2D. Nothing else to it. "Hi wanna marry me? Ok lets go -> Ok marriage's done, see ya"

I don't plan to marry. I considered Sven like my "husband" and didn't considered the marriage system to be good at all. It's better you just imagine those scenes in your head. Screw the canon way. xD

I just don't know how could the game have over 60 spousal options, and completely forgot about Khajiit and Bosmer.

This is the reason I deleted my Khajit when I found out.

Im forced into a interracial relationship.

My cat man wants to mate with a cat lady dammit,I dont want to be forced to get with a human.

Or else its gonna turn into some "The Real Barenziah" type stuff.

Khajiits are shunned by most citizens of Skyrim, but still, there should have at least been 1 outlawed Khajiit to marry.

Well you bought the wrong game, if thats half reason you bought the game you wasted your money, this game is not built around six, gays and marriage, go watch some porm if thats what your'e after.

OP is just expressing disappointment at this one particular feature. It doesn't mean that's what the game was bought for.

Anyone who expected "more" from Bethesda was setting themselves up to failure. It will take another generation or two of TES before they flesh out relationships to something a little more satisfying. It's like combat a couple generations back. It was throwing dice. There was no combat. It took a couple more versions before they realized this isn't a pen and paper and people need more.

You can. In the sense that the marryable NPCs don't care what you are. It's just that, there are no Bosmer or Khajiit NPCs that are interested in marriage at all.

Seeing how marriage is lacking to begin with, I don't see Bethesda putting much thought into why we can't marry Bosmer or Khajiit. It was overlooked, plain and simple.

I'm still in awe over this. It wouldn't have been that hard to make sure every race/gender was represented.

It would be unnatural and destroy traditional marriage!

I kid I kid. Honestly, I can't see why there's not at least one of them. I mean I can see why the races are spread as they are, there are far more marryable Nords than say, Dark Elves and Orcs, but still the world isn't totally void of Khajiit and Wood Elves. Then again there aren't many that play very big roles, so it would be hard to develop a story around it right now. They could make it to where you could marry M'aiq the Liar for lols.

And there are benefits to marriage in game, it's not just "married and done." A shopkeeper can give you approx 100 gold every day, plus they can cook meals for you with stat benefits for a short time. Sleeping in the same house with them gives a bonus that adds 15% to skill learning for 8 hours. I use that a lot for crafting to keep my skills up to par with my combat.

I'm sure there will be mods to address it. I can't even imagine caring that much. Marriage in real life doesn't seem all that great; Why would it be any more exciting in a game that revolves around exploring and killing? Maybe that's just me.
