Maybe they assume the lower classes wouldn't be able to afford a computer? Maybe?
We can argue whatever a "middle class" exists here or not. I do not think it does.
My dad is a psychiatrist, my mom is a consultant , they are divorced and i am impoverished.
So theoretically you could say that i am middle class ,but with non of the resources a middle class in a developed country enjoys. (aka a decent living)
A doctor here makes around
half of the american minimum wage per month , a starting high school teacher makes the minimum wage 200$ per month, with the rent starting from 200$ per month in Bucharest.
If we do have a middle class here its very fragile and very small in numbers and its not employed in the public sector, in my opinion.
Most romanians have rural roots, so many get by with such a small wage (they have parents/grandparents in rural lands) ,yet many don't.
Romania is a very atypical country in many , many ways, the class system included.
Most of the western standards don't work here ,in my opinion.
