It seams that I forgot a couple things.....

I still need to make a "fresh" potion model. :S

Sorry I didnt get to that yet. Sometimes I seriously think I have some form of ADD. :banghead:

oh aof :wave: at the moment the fresh potion just has a different colour (the amber because there is no magic school, that needs it). so there is no urgent need for it :)
take your time, we can update it

bycote and me are working it out. some misunderstandings just come out of the different translations of things in the cs :D

Whew it's been awhile since I checked this thread with the forums going down and all... I actually assumed we would wait for AOF to finish the artwork before finishing this, but now I see your post Sister I agree we can release it then update it later. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm finished with all of Vvardenfell and both expansions also. I will double-check things tomorrow and hopefully we can release version one very soon! :^)

Me too! By all means, take however much time you need, though. It's just nice to know this is still coming along.

Aachk! I feel terrible! I forgot about this. :^( I will see if I can find those files right now!

edit - I apologize to all of you who have waited for this release, I should have finished and released it ages ago, but ya know... crap happened. :^( Anyway, the good news is I easily found my file for the island of Vvardenfell but I made a note on it to re-check potion positions, so it seems it needs a once-over before it's ready for release. I haven't found my files for Bloodmoon or Tribunal yet, but even if I don't find them I will re-do them as soon as I possible can after I release the file I do have.

Now, I have fifteen minutes of free time. I'll start re-checking those positions!

In my little amount of free time I think I checked half of the interior cells in the game, so next time I find a minute I should be able to finish the rest. Since people have been waiting so long for this, I will just release these files as I finish them and let any possible updates wait til later. Any updates from you AOF are most welcome. :^)

Great to see that this mod is still planned on being released. I'd wondered what happened, but just kept forgetting to go look for the thread about it. I stopped lurking around for a while after the forums were changed, so I lost track of a bunch of stuff. :shrug:

I am loving using AOF's potion replacers, they work and look great for me.....so I'm a bit confused, what else is/was being done again?
Thanks for these, did I mention how great they look?

Special feature is the different colouring for magic schools and different effects (like restore magicka and restore health).

At last, you can all download and enjoy this mod! http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8502

Here is the readme:

Table of Contents:

I...About This Mod

II...Installation

III...Credit/Version/Contact Information

============================================

I. About This Mod

This version of AOF's Potion Replacer is an expansion of the work released by AnOldFriend3. It is primarily a cosmetic mod which replaces all of the game's magical potions with new beatiful potions made with the skillful hands and creativity of AnOldFriend3. In addition to AOF's previous work, this version includes different colored potions for the different schools of magicka and it re-positions (hopefully) all of the potions in the game to avoid clipping issues.

This version of the mod only corrects clipping issues for mods in the vanilla game, later versions will correct clipping issues for potions in areas added by the Tribunal and Bloodmoon expansions.

============================================

II. Installation

Very simple. Extract the contents of this .7z file to your "...\Morrowind\Data Files" folder and let it overwrite files if you are prompted. Then open the Morrowind Launcher, activate "AOFs_Potions_Replacer.esp" and play the game.

============================================

III. Credit/Version/Contact Information

Most of the credit for this mod goes to AnOldFriend3 who created the beatiful potions in this mod. Also a great deal of credit goes to Sister who re-colored AOF's textures for the different schools of magicka, created icons for all of the potions, and inspired me to do this. I, Bycote, simply put their work together and re-positioned the potions.

This is version 1.0 of this mod. Any bugs should be reported to me, Bycote, on the Official Bethesda Forum. For example, if you find a potion somewhere in the game world that is clipping with a table or something around it then please notify me of this so I can correct it in a future release.

Before I make a REL thread for this, I just want to check with Sister and AOF that everything with this is OK. Did I get the credits correct? I'm actually not 100% sure if AOF or Sister did the recoloring of the textures so I just guessed, if I'm wrong then please correct me so I can fix the readme!

Hello I found already the mod of splendid AOF, but with this one it is it still more, because more varieties!

However would it be possible to have a version with textures of liquids into high resolution?
thank you

I just realized the PES page doesn't have any screens, even though I posted three of them... I'll see what I can do about that.

i'm not sure what you mean, since the textures are high resolution at 1024x1024.

HOORAY!

I love these potions! They're so gorgeous - it would have to be something like this that replaced my current potion upgrade.

Yes they are well in 1024x1024 (I opened them under Photoshop).

But they are nevertheless basic quality, because the resolution does not do all (one to have a texture in 2048x2408 little and that it is very pixelisée ugly ;) ).
And thus, they appear enough pixelized under Photoshop then concerned that is seen even more.

It is not a remark in order to depreciate the superb work of AOF which I respect enormously, but is it right a request to know if it were possible to have a version of improved textures? :bowdown:

Because I did not succeed in remaking textures owing to the fact that for some there models are 2 textures used at the same time for the liquid.

thats on purpose. There should be two textures on almost every potion.

The request has to go to AOF. I just recoloured some of them to have matching colours for the magic schools, I did not touch the tex at all. This was approved by AOF so I made them the way I thought it would be fine. Where AOF made a matching colour (like blue, yellow or orange) I did not change anything.
