Basically, every 5-30 minutes the game will randomly freeze, requiring a three-finger salute to kill the process.

Since I've already bombarded you with useless info (for the most part) I'll save you time and not worry about dxdiag. I'm convinced there is something that all of us on Win7 have in common (May or may not be the OS) that is causing this issue: Prior I was on Windows XP with only one HD4670 and a P4 (Cedar Mill) with DDR400 RAM, and didn't have this issue.
