I've been playing the same character for a while.

Bridget became the head of all 7 MW guilds, Lady Dagoth Nerevar (Great House Dagoth mod), completed the MW MQ, the TB MQ, the BM MQ, and became factor of the East Empire Co, then she became the Telvanni Archmagister (Rise of House Telvanni mod), .

I decided to replay this character in a different path. I went back to when she was the Head of the 7 Guilds, and before she asked Caius for her first orders.
Loaded the save game, and my PC froze. No mouse activity, and no keyboard except for Ctrl+Alt+Del.

I used WryeMash to clean that save, and it didn't help. Also the uncleaned save before that froze as well.
I used the same set of mods for both of those saves.
I still have all of my early saves going back to just after she left the Seyda Neen Census Office.

Outside of painstakingly going back and checking mod by mod (19 mods added after the initial save), does anyone have an idea on how to fix this?

Reinstalled all of my mods without success. Decided to hit the cosmic reset button and start a new character.

Shame I wonder... have you tried backing up your saves an reinstalling? Or perhaps install the game a second time to see if it works there. It sounds like your saves are just corrupt though. Have you tried a slightly newer save to see if that helps, or do they all crash the game?

Maybe with all those mods, a few GMST's where in there? I'm not fond of those mods but they seem to be quite a hit so they should be clean

I've been having the exact same problem, and I still haven't figured it out.
I thought maybe it was another game I had installed that was screwing with my Morrowind stuff, but that wasn't it, unless Dark Messiah wasn't the game I should have uninstalled...
