Hey everybody, I registered an account here purely so I can give you guys a review from an unbiased standpoint. Whether or not you buy the game or cancel your preorder from this is up to you. I just want to try and help some people out.
I own the game on PC to those who are wondering.
The Good:
-SMART is a very fluid system. Although not perfect all the time, It truely does feel like a Mirrors Edge clone at times.
-Something really intense about fighting for an objective for what seems like an eternity only to use teamwork (ie flank them) to capture the objective JUST before the time expires. Thats a rush I havent experienced since Counterstrike.
-The guns for the most part seem fairly balanced. I havent bumped into an AK74U moments yet. But that remains to be seem in the coming days.
-You cant run and gun in the game. Taking out 5 players is a rare feat when you are by yourself.
-Tied with the above point. I like the feeling that if I am not contributing to the team we could lose. Every player matters and Every player makes a difference. As in CoD, One player can dominate the entire team.
-Very fast paced
The Bad:
-The AI can be pretty frustrating at times. There are rare moments of genius where they might actually buff your character or attempt to complete an objective. I found this only when I wasnt the class necessary to get the objective(ie hacking the terminal). This however can be fixed in a patch.
-I enjoy the Objective mode alot. But I am confused as to why they didnt atleast add a capture the flag mode. Atleast some sort of variation.
-8 maps was a little bit of a downer. Especially when there appears to be issues with one team being unable to capture the objective. I am not sure if this is because the game is new and people dont know of a strategy or because the map is unbalanced. It is only on a couple of maps I found.
