I took another look at the Fallout 4 E3 footage and noticed a few things. First off, the SMs look different than what we see in F3. But so do the feral ghouls and deathclaws and Yao Guai. I just think it is an updated look to these creatures. The only reason I bring this up is because some are hoping the SM are from the Midwest.
When the PC gets his pipboy, I noticed under weapons is a "compensated pipe rifle" and "short laser musket" which tells me a) you can mod before you get your pipboy, b. your vault was broken into at some point and you've scavenged these weapons. Under "apparel", your wedding ring is active. Also when you speak to Godsworth, you don't know about your family and how much time has past.Under "misc" are four logs. Like in F3, I'm assuming the latest logs are listed at the top. So from top to bottom are as follows: "Your new assignment" which may describe the function and purpose of the vault, "We are done" which may be the final log of the inhabitants of the vault as they find themselves in mortal danger. "Technician's Log" and the "Groundskeeper's Log" I can only imagine someone who does regular maintenance on many cryogenic capsules being called a "groundskeeper."
When the PC shoots down the vertibird in the game footage, if you slow it down, the person in the vertibird doesn't look like any other BOS we have seen before, but it is shown to be a "Brotherhood Initiate." The guy has a shaved head and is wearing army green fatigues.
ARTWORK
Noticed a few more things in the artwork(I'm sure most of us have looked at the artwork many times). There is an aerial view of the town of Lexington. You see the town sign "Lexington" and just to the right is a manufacturing plant or power plant and you can read "Atomic" as in Atomic General. Side note: When your modding your power armor, you choose what paint you want, "Military paint"," Vault tec paint", or "Atom Cat paint."
Noticed someone has made a shack out of what looks to be petroleum storage container, the ones found at oil refineries, and has a sign that says"Mass Power." It also looks to have a periscope on top of the building.
CRAFTING
It really does look like everything in the game can be broken down and used on your weapons and settlements. I noticed during the Junk Jet footage just before he uses the teddy bear as ammo that the teddy bear can be broken down to give you 3 leather cloth. Some of he the crating materials will be copper, aluminum, silver, gold, ceramics, gears, plastic, glass, fiber optics, wood, adhesives, steel, screw, rubber, concrete, spring, crystal, circuitry, cork and nuclear material.
