Another Noob in need

I'm trying to install this on my newer pc, but the game won't load past the (2K) part of the splash screen, sometimes not even that far. It just freezes.

Post your load order with Wrye Bash. Right-click on the "File" tab, and choose "List mods." Edit your post (with the edit button in the bottom-right corner) with the WB load order. It is much more informative. Remove the Fran respawn time plugin, and use the equivalent Bashed Patch tweak (Globals>Timescale) instead.

You need to Update to OOO 1.34beta5

You need to update to MMM 3.7b3 you are using a way old version has it does not list the version. Going to assume 3.5.5 or 3.0 Version,

You need to do a complete uninstall of older MMM before installing MMM 3.7b3 the thread can be found in my sig.

Then after that then you need to update FCOM and then upgrade to UFCOM..

MMM thread can be found in my sig and fcom thread can be found a few thread down

Else Patch 1.2.0416 is not installed, Frans.bsa are not loading, or oblivion.ini is corrupt.

I'm already on MMM 355 with MMM upgrade patch 7824, FCOM Convergence Beta 99, OOO 134 Beta 5, and Official 1.2 patch. As for UFCOM, I'm looking into that now.

Okay, I got in! Thanks much guys. Had some problems with FCOM's omod version, kept getting missing files errors so had to manual install, other than that, I think it's all working so far.

Post your load order here. You should not have had any missing file errors if you followed the installer directions. It might be helpful if you described errors as well. Mixing manual installation and OBMM installation...not the way to go...

Not sure what's happening, but I just started this game and ran through Vilveren across from starting sewer with no problems at all, but when I try to go to IC to sell loot, the game crashes when it tries to load inside IC gates.

What mods do you have installed that touch the IC? ...Oh, you probably do not have OBC installed correctly. Review the ReadMe to make sure you have everything.

well, i tried to install better cities http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16513 over obc because obc isn't getting any support anymore apparently. Alas, I still have the same issues. I also tried choral to see if it was just IC but nope, can't get into choral either. Even if i deactivate the BC OMOD, I still have the problem, so uninstalling it, is going to be a pain if I can't get it to work.


I really appreciate the help you guys are giving me with this.

Do not install BC on top of OBC. Completely uninstall OBC first. Do a clean save, without it installed. Then add BC into the mix. Make sure you downloaded the main file and the resources. Also, make sure to rerun BOSS after installing it, and you also have to rebuild the bashed patch as well, of course. Your load order is not sorted properly as it is.

Update to OOO 1.34beta5 - MMM 3.7b3 and UFCOM require this version..

Remove these two MMM plugins has

Diverse Npc Faces was merged a long time ago, years ago. I can say that now.

MMMforFrans is not used in a FCOM config

BOSS does not put BC after the bashed patch. Rename your Bashed patch, "bashed patch, 0.esp" so that BOSS recognizes it. If your plugins are not being reordered, you need to turn of Lock Times (right-click on the "File" tab.)

Are you sure you sorted it after you installed Better Cities, cause any recent version of Boss will recognize better cities. Even if you have a mod that Boss does not recognize, it does not belong after the bashed patch.

That bashed patch is not being recognized by BOSS because of its name, but it seems as though OP may need to download the latest version of BOSS.

Yup, t'was OBC/BC causing the problem, I poked through and manually removed the texture files that were on the OMOD install list, but oddly, the OMOD didn't install them all, so didnt' have to remove that many. Anyway, I was able to get into IC. I'm dubious about trying to install BC again.

Oh, and I do have OOO 1.34beta5 installed. Wasn't much in the folder, but I installed what there was.

Did you replace the esm and esp has well , because you last load order still showed 1.33 version...

Yup, but will do so again. I don't recall installing this stuff to have ever been so complicated. But then, I've never messed with BOSS or FCOM before either.
