Post » Mon Mar 08, 2010 1:17 am

Okay, as many of you may know, I made a thread on PC specs as I am building a PC. Here are the specs I've decided on.

Motherboard -

EVGA P55 FTW 200 Motherboard

CPU -

Intel Core i5 750

RAM -

Corsair XMS3 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 RAM

Video Card -

XFX HD585XZAFC Radeon HD 5850

Sound Card -

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-Fi XtremeGamer

Hard Drive -

Western Digital Caviar Black 500 GB

Optical Drive -

Asus DRW-24B1ST DVD Burner

Case -

Cooler Master HAF 922M ATX Mid Tower Case

Power Supply -

Cooler Master GX Series 650W

Thanks for any help! =)

You should have just stuck to that thread and update your decisions in there instead of creating this new thread on basically the same thing. Don't EVER do this again....moderators don't like it and it's against the rules anyways. Not everyone knows about that past thread nor will they care to look. For their reference, here is the conversation:

The specs you have are fine if that's what you want. If you're shopping newegg, make sure you check the combo deals for those specific components to see if you can shave off some more money. I see you have to sacrifice a bit for this system in comparison to the one I specced out for you once you.....monitor and operating system isn't accounted for yet either. Went down to half the capacity on the hard drive. Plus I see you're getting the Radeon 5850 instead of the 5870 that I was able to squeeze in with a combo. The Radeon 6870 is also available and sits in between the Radeon 5850 and 5870 performance-wise (confusing I know).

The corsair 650W power supply is a much better built unit than that coolermaster.

Sorry about that, I guess I should read the rules. Also, I don't have any type of credit currency (credit card, debit card), so online shopping is a no go. I have a nice little shop near me called Micro Tech, and they have all the parts I could need. Also, since this post, I've upgraded to different parts and better parts for a little to no change in the price, the shop has some great deals. Mods, feel free to lock this thread, and please accept my apologies, it won't happen again. I'll continue any more discussion in the previous thread.
