I honestly dont understand the fascination with Tommy Guns. I mean, there is a REASON we don't use them regularly in modern times. Plus, outside of mafia lore, they really arn't that cool. In an open wasteland like fallout, all of that ammo is gonna spread out, and touch those nearby rocks, as opposed to the raider with his varmint rifle, shooting from twenty feet away. I'll take that varmint rifle thank you.

They added enough SMG's as it is, from what I can tell, we need more shotguns if anything.

Also, you KNOW a mod is gonna add it. Heck, I'm using a .223 pistol in FO3 with the Fallout Wanderer's Edition Mod. So its safe to assume that one will be added in game. Or for the inevetible DLC. Stop making threads about this lol.

Im not all that surprised. Thompsons are more associated with Chicago and East Coast mobsters. Vegas was never openly using machine guns like they did, as far as I've ever seen, most Vegas mobsters had pistols and shotguns/sawn off shotguns.

The Mobsters in Vegas usually tended to favor high powered weapons that were easily concealable. Mobster does not always equal Tommy Gun. That's just a common stereotype.

If you really want a Tommy Gun so bad, wait till DLCs start releasing (very doubtful on this), a mod is created, or until there's a Fallout: New Chicago.

Because the Tommy Gun was in FO2 and was also in Tactics. The Tommy Gun was the number one weapon for mobsters in real life. Sad that it won't be in the game.

I tried about 20 times to get the vid to pause on the Chopper, but no way. They're moving the cursor too fast. Almost like they were making sure you couldn't sreen cap it. Hmmmmmm..........................................

There's certainly no way you can confirm from that the Chopper is a melee weapon. I'm calling bull [censored].

I find it kinda annoying how they had all these m4a1's into the game but they dont add the thompson or tommy gun even though they added other ww2 weaponry.

Sure the tommy guns may have not been around the area of vegas but what about the chinese assault rifle(ak47)? wernt they amde in china? so why the hell are they all over america???

It is kind of annoying that they didn't add it. Mainly because i have had to listen to the entire forum complain about it for the past year. So i am sure they saw the numerous post of people wanting the tommy gun. Oh well. We can just use the Machine gun and pretend it is a tommy gun. :shrug:

A Chopper is also refered to as a AK-47 by hood gangsters, (T.I., Waka Flocka, Snoop Dogg, 2pac) Id be happy to hear that the AK-47 (Chinese Assault Rifle) made it in and I am pretty sure if the Chopper is not a melee weapon that it is indeed a AK-47 (Chinese Assault Rifle in F3). I am more sure that it is then the Tommy Gun actually sadly.

No developer has said it wasn't in the game yet and we've been asking & being persistent as all heck about it for a very long time. I probably being the most persistent about it period

today, i watched a interview/gameplay video of vault 22, and in it the PC pulled out a 9mm, and put some atachements on it, one of wich was a round-drum magazine, much like a tommys. so that leaves me with 2 speculations:
1. the Tommy gun is IN the game, and they used its drum model for a few other guns
OR
2. Obsidian added the drum to the 9mm in an attempt to appease fans becuase they DIDNT put the tommy in.

Round magazine drums aren't just for tommy guns they are used on others too.
