Another Windows 7 64 bit question

Post » Mon Mar 14, 2011 2:38 pm

Well, I see there are plently of threads on Fallout 3 and Windows 7. I have been playing Oblivion with no problems noted for about 5 months on my Windows 7 machine. My question is....if Oblivion runs without problems on my Windows 7 64bit machine, will Fallout 3 likely play without problems? It seems both use a relatively similar iteration of the Gamebryo engine and after all Oblivion came out a significant time before Fallout 3. Logicly speaking, if Oblivion runs well, one would make the assumption that Fallout 3 should. I just don't want to waste my cash on a game thats not going to work...Thanks for any responses.

Windows 7 64 bit Ultimate
Intel Core i7 930 @ 2.8ghz

Sooooo....no one out there plays Oblivion and Fallout 3? No one can confirm that if Oblivion plays fine Fallout 3 will or will not likely work? Would seem like someone must have some sort of an idea of some kind...

I run Win7 64bit and Fallout 3 runs fine for me, there are 3 specific areas that crash often however but they are fixed by limiting the game to using only two of my processor cores instead of all 4. Tweakguides "Advanced Tweaking Part 3" in there Fallout 3 guide covers the tweak.
