Ant Nectar withdrawal?

Post » Sat Sep 11, 2010 7:52 am

Haven't seen a thread on this one but after googling it I found some people who were having the same problem. I took a few ant nectar when I was over-cumbered and became addicted. This addiction has been there for about 10 hours of playing time and maybe 4-5 levels. Anyone else having this problem??

I think it was on Fallout wikia I read that the ant nectar addiction is permanent. Who knows, though, it may be yet another bug.

i have the same problem and it is ridiculous because it gives -2 strength, i'm also pretty sure it's a bug a addiction that gives -2 strength forever would just be dumb

Yeah I've just been going through the motions to be honest. I guess next time I will "say no to ant nectar" so I don't have the same problem, but as of now I am definitely not wasting the 35 hours I have put in, especially since I've been dealing with the problem since level 12/20 hours played and not had to many problems (thank you companions). Hopefully this is a bug, I have read about people having permanent mentats addiction, as well as jet, but who really knows. Still loving the game though. Please let me know of a fix if you find one!

Some things are incurable like aids, rabies, etc. You can cure Fallout New Vegas addiction though by frustrating the player to the point where they take the game out of the console and put it back in the box and then in a drawer until patches come out. I haven't gotten any widthdrawl symptoms since I did that.
