I nearly squealed with joy when I read the patch notes. The very first game I join has a maxed out level 50 guy named coldfu5ion running around permacloaked and headshotting the server with a MK60. Whatever you did, it didn't work.

If you understand the elements at play in-game. You'd appreciate the game for how good it is.

game is awsome as hell, but when you see someone doing 40 kills in aboth 3-4 mins you get really sick of it fast.

There are still hackers about, ran into a long time hacker last night, doing super fast laps around skyline with a jackal with infinite ammo headshotting people, and i mean lapping skyline in 5s and practically flying kinda hacks...Too bad the kid is still so **** we managed to kill him a couple of times. (dropping nades or jsut 8 people blazing away at the sky)...but yeah, the hackers are still kicking about.

Hackers aren't stupid. It's easy to bypass security. Tons of people don't even understand how hacks work. They think it's so simple to counteract. The thing is, it's actually the other way around. It's so easy for a hacker to change a few things and he's undetected again. You need to find a server with an active admin. Leave the other servers baron so the hacker can play by himself.

I don't understand why EA/Crytek is soft on cheaters. An 1 hour ban for being caught cheat, seriously? That will teach them being naughty.
Maybe they can use this hour to optimize their cheats so they don't caught again and if, well go for a walk then try again.

Everyone bans cheaters permanently. Valve does as Punkbuster. Punkbuster even do hardware bans if use anything directed at Punkbuster software itself. Why this sympathy for cheaters from Crytek? Have they been cheaters themselves once or is MP so down they depend on them to keep it populated.

The one hour ban is basically a warning. From what I understand, it also resets their stats. A second offense lands them a permaban.

Steam, ESL 90% internet games if they detect you cheat they just ban you 4 life or for 30 days and later a perm ;/
