Yea. I wasn't sure what was the the better shotgun in any halo. The sniper or the... shotgun.

Good luck trying to snipe "perfectly well", with close - medium range maps and parkour.

I'm glad I won't be able too, snipers ruin games.

Don't know what vids you guys have been watching, but I've seen plenty of range for a good sniper to make use of, and with the team focus of the game there are going to be places where heated battle makes you a target for a mid-range sniper that you may not have time to notice.

The best anti-sniper tactic is to find out who your team's sniper is and make sure he doesn't get shot in the back.

Unless they are old. And about 99.999 percent of memes are old, as [censored].

Chokepoint layouts are currently unknown. (They could be quite small). While all the objectives, that I've seen in videos anyway, seem quite small.

I have studied the Container City map in some detail, just ask Otter or Solarcrest. If that map is any indication there will be choke points aplenty. Then again that map has bots so they have to move it a certain way.

This.

But at the same time, the maps have plenty of room (especially for Lights) to close in on the sniper without sacrificing much cover.

True that is why the sniper is supporting his team and vice versa. Like the 2 man sniper team: Engineer and Soldier. Damage buff unlimited ammo, turrets and mines.

I really really hope the cod fans have a hard time with this on pc, i cant be doing with quick scope montages anymore. or the whole "I can quick scope therefore i'm better than all of you" elitist attitude.

The best stategy for dealing with a sniper in most games, tube the hell out of him or pummel him grenades. if you can't get to him without being shot just forget about him and dont go down the area his covering, he'll get bored eventually and come out to play with his pew pew pistol and then some heavy will sit on his face and insert his chain gun where the sun don't shine.

And yes im a major cod fan but im a run and gun TEAM player, not a "ohh look at my score", and thats another thing im glad to hear about in this game, no ingame killcounter so thats the kill hunters taken care of

Most of the maps in Brink seem short - medium range. Snipers thrive on long range combat. Therefore, I foresee not that many people attempting to snipe in Brink to begin with.

Does this mean no one will attempt to be a "dedicated" sniper? Absolutely not. I don't think a dedicated sniper will do all that well in Brink, however.

This.

Which is good news for a dude like me who thrives in that intimate experience of close-quarters combat.

When I said small I meant cramped. Cramped environments. A lot of close quarter combat due to zigzag hallways and the like. Container City is but one exception, and even then, there's quite a bit of cover to duck from snipers.

Indeed there is cover but you still have to come from and certain path with the bot and we shall we waiting.

I'm going to tell you my famous anti-sniper tactic. Okay here it goes.
Shoot him in the face. With bullets.
Doesn't work?
Use moar bullet.

I'll try not 2. Its not me you really need to worry about. Just the 3 heavies, 2 turrets and minefield. We snipers are just the icing on the cake. I really can't wait to try it out.

Don't stop moving, stick to the shadows, and take them down from behind. :spotted owl:

Don't give them any hints damn it!!! Don't forget I'm our clans sniper!

Also, I love how everyone is saying "I'll just run up to the sniper and blast him" or "I'll just shoot him in the face with my assault rifle" but those are slightly invalid tactics considering 1. He's a sniper, thus he's out of your line of sight so how the hell are you just going to magically aim and shoot him and B. If you DO see him, you will have less range than him so the likelyness of you shooting him is less than him shooting you. I mean I'm not saying you can't do it, but you guys are making it sound easier than it really is.

I also love how you guys are going, "Thr maps are close-quarters anyways so snipers aren't as useful". But how would you guys know when you have only seen bits and pieces of the maps. And some of the maps I saw had nice long corridors, some nice scaffolding, and some open areas where a sniper can keep an eye on the objective and pop people trying to complete it.
