AntiBSOD, AntiFREEZE patch #7

Post » Tue May 29, 2012 4:57 pm

EDIT: Updated, version 9 available. Game 1.3 still require this to run much more stable, because critical bugs wasn't fixed by Bugtheshda.

Hi
I did an update to the patch for fixing various graphic bugs, freezing and so on, but main feature is BSOD fix for users, who have such damn problem (highest quality, antialiasing x8, video memory size less 1gb are bring you BSOD or crash by the game).

Boris, you rock man.
Agreed. Kinda sad though that one man without access to the source code is doing more to fix Skyrim's problems than Bethesda -- and the huge pool of resources it can draw from -- themselves.

Could somebody reply if this patch now allow to play with Optimus laptops (with changes as described in readme), mouse lags fixed for you (not Y-axis, another problem, also in readme info), the BSODs fixed? For me it is, but i'm WInXP user.

It's called corporate bloat. Amazing how bureaucracy murders efficiency.

Well it certainly helped with the Black Screen of Death, I played for about 2 hours then, but when I went to go make a coffee, I left it on the black smithing screen, and when I came back, Black Screen of Death :(

Hey Boris, i installed ur Patch (+ this http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/456889-skyrim-complete-pc-crashes/page__view__findpost__p__3954456) and i got no BSOD for 2 hours, before i closed the Game myselfe. Thats a new record for me. Before it bsod every few minutes. I cant say what rly helped. Maybe ur Patch, maybe the "atiumdag.dll, cause i tried both at the same time. And since its kinda working, i dont want to change anything anymore.
But i think its the combination that works for me. So i really want to say Thank You!
Sry for my english.

I have everything DLed but I don't want to replace my FXAA Injector. Is there a way I can use both? I don't see anything in the install notes about it. Thanks in advance!

this is awesome work.

Because of this, I have visible fire and spider webs, and now with the fps cap, my gpu fan no longer goes crazy when nothing much is happening on screen, like reading books or crafting.

keep it up :clap:

Yeah if you guys don't notice it in the changed INI, this now has a FPS Limiter built-in. Very cool.

Now is the "AntiBSOD" referring to Blue Screen of Death, normally having to do with video card drivers when referring to Skyrim, or the "Black Screen of Death" that can even lock up a computer, generally on transitions?

Also, any ideas from anyone on what "KeyCombination" refers to?

Yes, rename your d3d9.dll for fxaa inj (ex. D3d9FXinj.dll)
Then go into the enbseries.ini
At the to top under proxy settings edit:
EnableProxyLibrary=1
InitProxyFunctions=1
ProxyLibrary=whatever you renamed the fxaa dll to(D3d9FXinj.dll)
Then place the renamed file along with the other files into the program directory
Same Toggle as normal with shift+F12
I found you had to load game before this takes affect, opposed to being able to add files while game is active
Good luck!

Angry Eeyore
Uhhhh, how many times should i say how to use two d3d9.dll at once with my mods and patches?
open enbpatch.ini and set this
[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=true
InitProxyFunctions=true
ProxyLibrary=fxaa.dll

then, save, close it, rename d3d9.dll of FXAA to fxaa.dll. Place mine d3d9.dll in to game folder. Run game launcher, configure game again (if you don't have graphical bugs like no dragon flame, no volumetric fog, etc then set FixGraphics=false in enbpatch.ini before running the game at first time).

I never saw in my life black screens of death, so can't fix such problem.
"KeyCombination" is "shift" keyboard key, it used as first key, press and hold it, then press "home" key and fps limiter will be turned on/off (usefull for not slowing down loading screens if fps limiter enabled)

pandorax
Thanks for helping out, but that info for old versions of the graphic mod, so 0 and 1 changed to false and true.

I know it may not be possible without the source code, but please Boris please, take a crack at fixing the black screen of death. Here is a comprehensive thread about it.

http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1301174-any-chance-of-a-fix-for-the-hard-pc-crashes-soon/

Either way keep up the good work and have nice day!

Thank you very much Boris, like Underdog said, I can play the game for over 2/3 hours without a black screen crash.
Since day one I have not been able to play for more then 15 minutes (trying everything in the book).
Hey Bethesda, maybe you should hire this guy to patch your broken game eh eh? :)
Cheers once again, many thanks. Now time to smash Skyrim this weekend and let the wife set up the christmas tree. :)

Hi, Enbseries.
thx again for all your work.

I just tried the patch #8, and it seems that the WinXP freezes (the 3-7secs freeze in exterior) are back with this one (i have no problem at all with patch #6)

If I had to guess, someone who doesn't like you showing up the devs who can't patch as well as you can in the time you can ;)

Just downloaded patch #9 (default settings) and this time it really works :). Earlier i was suffering CTD (crash to desktop) every 5-10 mins running outside Riften. I just did a new test run running around as fast as i could around the lake near Riften after that i ran back to Whiterun and i was completely stable without stuttering and with decent FPS.

My hardware and setting for the game....

core i72600k
2*gtx580 in sli
16 GB memory
290.36
1.2 skyrim patch <- yeah not good i know...
tweaked settings for High quality occulsion and other stuff through Nvidia Inspector
heavily tweaked skyrim.ini for maximum graphical details etc...

I'm also using uGridsToLoad=9 with the usual tweaks (LAA 4gb tweak...), a bunch of HD texture packs and i must say that now that its stable (no CTD) its a real blast :)

So thank you again ENB (Boris) :)

I'm going to continue stress testing it to see if i can get it to crash... ;)
