any argonians here? :D

Firstly, you need to watch that "apart"; right now your sentence means something very different from what you meant to write.

Secondly, didn't we have this discussion a few days ago and declared it "inconclusive until further evidence"?

I sense anti-Hist attitudes to one who is no friend of the Saxhleel.

I haven't played one yet, but I have traveled with one for most of my adventures in Skyrim. After I saved him, Derkeethus pledged his life to protecting mine. I changed his look a little bit and his disposition. He now dw's correctly, can sneak pretty well, steals, and kills on command. My Shadowscale in training. We're kind of like an evil Han Solo and Chewbacca. /dry.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' /> Kidding aside, he's got a pretty unique dialogue for a follower.

Well, the Saxhleel did go to Oblivion and back during the Oblivion Crisis, with much success to the point that gates were intentionally closed by the forces of Mehrunes Dagon, because the Saxhleel were too great.

Glad to see those little details added in /smile.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

I have never created a character from the beast races. However, I did create a female Imperial that considered herself Argonian. She was raise from an infant by an Argonian and trained in the ways of the Shadowscale. She even licked from the Hist. Barely surviving that ordeal, she developed the vocals to speak Jel.

She was named Hands-on-briasts. While shunned by the populous of Blackmarsh, she was terrified as a child and was constantly clinching her chest.

After coming of age, she set out to find her destiny and ended up in Skyrim.

Hivemind? No.

It is more accurate to say: The Argonians and The hist share a symbiotic relationship. They benefit each other. If anything. the Hist are what kept Argonia a functioning province. The Argonians keep the Hist safe. There is no slavery here.

So, what are the repurcussions if an argonian became Sheogorath? Also, I heard the dialogue in Oblivion, I assumed it meant Argonians born in Black Marsh who lived elswhere. This is evident by the large amount of Argonians in Cyrodill during the Oblivion crisis.

Are we actually sure how functioning as a society it is? The Hist didn't benefit the Argonians when they were being enslaved by the Dunmer.

It has. Argonia is near invincible. For more reasons than just bugs and bad weather. As for the Dunmer enslaving Argonians, they have never been ones for invading(until recently). Argonia itself was never conquered by the Dunmer. Most of their slaves were from other regions. The Hist aren't perfect. This does not invalidate the benefits.

When you put it that way, I suppose the Hist do protect the Argonians to a certain extent. Although an aquatic race is going to have an exponential advantage when engaging in swamp combat.

I could question whether this is out of benevolence, or because they want to protect their workforce, but it doesn't realy make a difference.

Well, as a matter of courtesy, I recommend taking your Hist discussion to the lore forum. It's unseemly to be antagonistic in a thread ostensibly about Argonian appreciation.

That said, I doubt you'll find a conclusion in the lore forum. But you can hope.

And as matter of personal opinion, seeing the same points again so soon is tedious, rather like every civil war discussion ever.

I made an Argonian ninja style assassin in Oblivion and I started making one in Skyrim as the Dark Brotherhood armor in Skyrim actually looks like a ninja costume.

I didn't like them in Morrowind because of the legs and the fact they could wear all the normal armors

Always an Argonian on 1st playthough.

And people really need to keep their roleplaying in the game. There's no need to make a point of telling people your choice in player character is superior. It's kind of juvenile.

I'm an argonian. I picked him because they could breathe underwater and it seemed useful. If i was starting a new skyrim game today, i would either pick argonian again, or nord.

Waterbreathing is one of my favorite racial powers. One of my Argonians killed off a whole bandit crew at low level by using the water to her advantage.

It's very difficult to play argonian, because there's no compelling reason to do so. The water environments in Skyrim don't contain anything that any other race could find, and disease resistance is not particularly important in the game. It seems to me the Argonians will remain underutilized until there is a TES in Black Marsh. We'll finally get a chance to explore their lore as well.

What do you mean, "Are there any argonians here?" Argonians don't exist in skyrim, silly.

Pshaw, Argonians in Black Marsh had wings before it was even cool.

Man, I want a game in Black Marsh so bad!
Why'd the Eye of Argonia have to go and get canceled like that? /biggrin.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':D' />
