Any battlefield vets getting Brink?

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 2:53 pm

I've played Bf2 and BF:BC 2, I would join up with some other BF players, really love the teamplay.
Add me if you want.

Yeah, I played BF:BC2, however lately I've been having connection problems with BC2.

Does buying BC2 yesterday and playing few hours of 1942 make me a battlefield vet?

Beta'd the original BF1942 but didn't follow it through retail. Bad Company 2 has been my go-to FPS since it came out, although I'm only rank 25 or so I think.

I first got interested in this games as a means to last me until BF3 but it will probably end up lasting longer from the looks of it. :D I played BF2 on the PC a long time ago and I'm 35 or so on BFBC2 on the Xbox. I've played a ton of that.

I am as well and my first Bf game was Bf2 which i started many years ago. This lead up to 2142, and other add ons. Then i played BC games on the console. One of my fav fps series of all times since it actually involves some team work and what not.

I played BF from 2 on, but couldn't get 2142 when it came out because of my switch from PC to console gaming. Currently still play BC2 on xbox regularly, and BF2PR on my laptop. Really excited for this game, my BC2 partner even went so far as to trade in BC2 toward brink because he believes in it so much.

I think a lot of people are putting a heavy burden on Brink fixing the entire modern fps scene. Hope it can handle it.

When I first saw this I thought you were asking if any actual veterans were buying the game, but you meant "Battlefield Vets" as in the series, well in that case yes.

Dice and Splash Damage have become my last bastion of hope for my fp gaming. They both can talk the talk but they also both have executed great multiplayer fps games that are best at team play and strategy with large amounts of FUN factor mixed in..

bc2 had a lot of problems w lag for a long time after release (on consoles). BF3 looks to be the prettiest shooter ever created, if ti plays half as good as bc2 plays now, it will be best game of all time

Vietnam, 2142 & Bad Company series here. If I'm not mistaken, 2142 was the first MP shooter I played, Vietnam was the first one I owned, and the first Bad Company was the game that really sold me on the FPS genre.

May very well pre-order BF3 if Rage doesn't look to trump it.

I've been playing battlefield since 1942 and am a huge fan of the series, that being said I know Brink is not very similar to battlefield. Still BC2 is drying up for me (after 600+ hours) and this game looks fantastic, should be able to hold me over to BF3 if it plays half as good as it looks too. I hope that its so good that even with BF3 out, i have trouble picking what game to play. Anyways, if any players know how to play fps as a team its BF players, that being said I was seeing if any other vets are switching over for the time being. Im on 360, level 50 in BC2, i used to play a lot of CS prior to source, and I def know good fps. really just looking for a few mature (idk im 22), people to play with in case most my friends list skips this one (hopefully not), and would rather draw from the battlefield community than any other. Doesn't hurt if you like to rage headz too :D. Eventually, if I posses any sort of skill with this game and its as good as it looks, me and my buddies will prob get a clan going but idk thats remained to be seen. A whole lot depends on the game, im getting tmrw so ill be on first day.

I started with 1942, and later played the Desert Combat mod in a foe v foe, 32v32 ladder. DC turned in to BF2 and I played that in the same ladder, all the way up to bfbc2's release. I never played BC2 competitively.. the game just didn't have the same draw to me. I'll probably be getting BF3... and skyrim... and me3... when they come out in the fall, but I'm looking forward to BRINK so hard right now.

Hey Trizz, I think you're already on my friends list and we've played some BC2 in the past. I've been playing Battlefield since BF2 for the PC. I'd love to play some Brink with you tomorrow if I see ya!
